With its straight six engine and three on the tree manual transmission, Crusty is fun to drive with plenty of power and is still economical on the road. This truck is a real driver and is sure to get you thumbs up everywhere you go. The odometer shows 11,000 miles, but were confident that it has turned over at least once. The truck drives and shifts well, with the engine running smoothly and quietly. The straight six engine breathes through a single-barrel carburetor that maximizes fuel efficiency. Clearly, Crusty didnt get its nickname for nothingits definitely has had its fair share of bodywork. We found evidence of body repair in most body panels, but the structural components of the undercarriage are in good shape. The frame and cab mounts are strong and require no attention. Floors and crossmembers have been patched and will eventually need work again. As expected, the wooden bed has some rot, but the original steel ribs are still intact, making it an easy project to refinish the bed.
