The 1984 model year was no different. The exterior showcases Grand Prix White paint in very good condition throughout. This is a dry climate Porsche and is shows. The paint is exceptional, with minor imperfection on closer inspection. Underneath the vented whale-tail is the classic 3.2 liter engine. Power is courtesy of the robust flat-6 engine. 1984 would debut an increased displacement 6 cylinder engine of 3.2 liters by combining the Porsche Turbo's 74.4mm stroke with the 911SC's 95-mm bore. This fuel-injected powerplant is good for approximately 200 horsepower and paired with the 5-speed manual transmission. The engine runs smooth and the gearbox shifts through the 5 forward gears and reverse as it should. The underbody displays clean original flooring throughout. The engine compartment is clean and in good condition throughout. The dash displays the factory sport-oriented black-face gauges along with the powerful custom head unit. Sound is courtesy of a Kenwood CD Stereo, custom speakers and twin 800 watt Kenwood amplifiers for true audiophiles. The interior showcases the factory leather interior. The seat upholstery shows age and wear, but is in good condition. The back seat is also in good condition, seldom used. The door panels are in good condition throughout, with clean undersides. The factory identifying decals are also in place. The black convertible top is in good condition, seldom used. The plastic rear window shows fading and has a small hole in it. The top is protected by a canvas boot. The factory 16-inch alloy wheels are wrapped in Yokohoma TK5230 high performance radials on all four corners. Porsche's classic 911 has retained its classic structure for decades, a testament to its usability and popularity. The 911 is certainly an iconic sports car.
