OLD 1953 Chevrolet Belair 2 Door I purchased this old Chevy belair 2 door sedan from the original owners grandson. This car was in the original family from new 1953 till 2012 for 59 years until I purchased it from them. They bought the car new in 1953 and it was driven 20,000 original miles when the owner/Grandfather passed away and it was put away in the barn. His son inherited the car and started a 15 year frame off restoration with his son. Every aspect of the car was professionally restored with tons of NOS parts and mint low mileage original parts. The odometer was turned back to zero when the restoration was completed. Shortly there after the son passed away and his son, the third generation owner inherited it. Every nut and bolt was turned to make this car better than new. Look at all the details as seen in the pictures provided. If you turned this car upside down you could literally eat your breakfast on the original floor boards. It retains all its original sheet metal from day one and has always been garaged on a wooden floor inside their barn. Everywhere you look this car sparkles like new. Mint chrome, stainless, paint, interior, headliner, dash, wheels glass and virtually everywhere and anywhere you look. The father and son wanted this car to be the best on planet, no expense was spared. It was not restored with the intention of resale but was to remain in the family for generations to come. Sadly the son moved across the country and had no choice but to sell this family heirloom. You could spend $70,000 in restoration costs to restore a car like this off frame with a professional restoration facility. I purchased this car with only 20 test miles driven and have since only driven it another 20 miles, for a total of 40 miles only on a totally rebuilt, balanced and blue printed original motor that came in the car at birth from the assembly line. The paint job is immaculate with a lazar straight body panels, all #s matching with the original factory colors that the car left the factory with back in 1953. I have the original Bill of Sale and all paperwork from 1953 with pictures of the frame off restoration.
