Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a wonderful project car. This is a 1952 Chevy Styleline Deluxe 2-door. The car has a clear transferrable title. The car has a Chevy 235 straight 6 in it from I believe a 1954 model and has three on the tree shifting. The car ran and drive when I bought it, did not smoke, shifted fine, steered straight, and stopped fine. All electrical worked. The interior had been restored when I got it and is in really good shape including carpet and headliner. All glass is good. All gauges were working fine. Whitewall tires are in good shape with plenty of life left on them. The carb has been rebuilt and it has a new Edmunds air filter on it. I am not sure what the actual miles are on the engine. The body is straight with no dents. The paint is rough and could definitely be redone. There is some surface rust, but there does not appear to be any major cancer. There is a spot of some rust bubbling on the roof above the passenger A-pillar (see photo), but it has not cancered through. The floors and the trunk all seem solid. The worst area I have seen so far is the fin supports on the firewall that have rusted straight through, but this was not a concern for me since I was planning on cutting the fins out in order to fit a 350 in it. The car is currently not running. The original owner I had purchased it from said it needed a new starter solenoid since it was getting hard to start. I pulled the solenoid off (it will come with the car), but have not had a chance to work on it since our apartments implemented a strict no working on vehicles policy recently. The car has been sitting since and there doesn't appear to be any major leaks. The car will need to be towed from here though. We are getting ready to move and unfortunately the car cannot come with us, so I am really hoping it can go to a good home. This car would make a great daily driver, or could be turned into a killer lead sled. Thanks so much for looking, and happy holidays!
