Up for auction from my personal collection is my outstanding original condition 1981 Honda XL100S. I acquired this original example some time ago from a Honda dealer who took it in on trade and then parked it in the back room. This XL100S is in overall outstanding original condition and would be very, very difficult to find another original like this. With only 707 original and actual miles, it is barely broken in and in nearly new condition. Every aspect of this XL100S is original. This would be the perfect example to add to a collection as it is too nice to be used at this point. The frame number appearing on this XL100S is JH2HD0505BK002261 and the engine number appearing on this XL100S is HD05E-5002296 making this a numbers matching correct original example. The build date on the steering neck reads 11/80. I would like to stress the fact that this XL100S should not be confused with the other Honda XL/XR or vintage motorcycles in general that the general public has to choose from. It is clean, correct, maintained and totally original and very close to a new XL100S. Also, please look at my feedback as I only sell classic Japanese motorcycles from my collection as well as new old stock parts. Again, please do not confuse this XL100 with the average listing offered by other amateur and unreliable sellers. Cosmetically, this XL100S is in outstanding original condition. The fuel tank shines in a near new condition and does have a few small rub marks that do not detract from the overall quality of this XL100S. The inside of the fuel tank is clean, bright and shiny metal. The side covers match the condition of the fuel tank and are in nearly mint condition as well. The seat appears to be in as new condition and is so nice that it appears to have never been sat on. The front and rear fenders match the nice condition of the rest of the body work. As you can see, the original speedometer appears as new with the break in information sticker still present as well as all original mirrors, handlebar controls and signal lights. The original tires are in overall very nice condition and show only minimal ware as they should with this low of mileage. This XL100S is also very, very clean most likely because it was never dirty. Mechanically this XL100S runs very nicely. The fuel tank and carburetor are currently drained as this XL100S was in my home for some time prior to being taken out for these pictures. I am also including a brand, new genuine Honda correct battery with this XL100S as well for the new owner. Also, the engine and carburetor are clean as new and all rubber intake boots, cables and other rubber components are buttery soft and flexible. Overall, this is a very original, clean and lightly used XL100S that would be very difficult to find again especially from a reputable seller. I also of course have a clear title as well as original owners manual to go with this outstanding XL100S. Regarding Payment and Shipping, I will accept a wire transfer or a certified check for this XL100S. Payment must be received within 10 days of the close of the auction.
