Vehicle Detail
1964 Oldsmobile Jetstar Holiday 88 Back surgery this Wedensday (Oct. 17th) forces me to sell. I need the $. Any reasonable (and I mean reasonable....dont embarrass yourself) offer before Wed. will not be refused. For sale is my 1964 Olds Jetstar Holiday 88. 66,345 original milage. I bought this car to restore. Its a great and easy project. Everything is there. the car is completely original. I am a GTO guy, but just couldnt resist the beautiful lines on this car. I bought from a girl who purchased it from the original owner, who passed away about 4 years ago...He used to run it all over Ohio doing all the local car shows with it. The new owner gets all the small plaques in the scan. I also have the original owner manual, and protect- O -plateAs it turned out, car was out of her league, and once it broke (the water pump) she couldnt afford to have it repaired, so was sitting in her driveway for 2 years before I came along. I brought it home a few months ago, replaced the water pump, gave it a quick tuneup and new coil, primed the carb, and the 330in 290 hp engine started on the 1st click. Amazing!!!As you can see the car is pretty straight. As I said its been in my driveway for a few months now, and not one drop of oil is on the ground. The engine doesnt make any unusual noises. The brakes go to the floor (that was the next thing I was going to repair...easy fix...probably wheel cylinder...but you should change the brakes anyway!) I was able to slowly drive it around the block, and the trans shifted perfectly, which is a power glide by the way.As you also can see in the pics, the girl backed into a fire hydrant on the right side rear (the car is looong!). Not too bad, i dont think. A pro body guy should be able to fix it easy. I am more of a gear head than a body guy, I was gonna farm that part out to someone who knows better. Lets get to the reason I believe this car is original 66,000 mile car. The interior. If it wasnt for the water stains on the back seat, and the package tray, the interior is incredible. Its like stepping right back into 1964. No wear or tears on the seats...the gas and brake pedal look brand new....the carpet is in great condition for its age...original floor mats...the floors are rock solid.....so is the trunk!!! There is no way this is 166,000 mile car...no damn way....but of course this is only my profssional opinion...i cant prove it with docs. Also, the passenger window is stuck...looks off the track....the handle are in the glove box. When I bought the car, it had no keys either....so I had the ignition key made at the local locksmith. I never got around to removing the trunk cylinder and cutting the key..so I have the trunk tied down as a temp fix.So this is it....please call at (954) 464 6241...my name is Andrew, and I will answer any questions you have. When my girlfriend smart kid comes over later, I will try to link a youtube video to this so you can hear it start and get a good feel for the old gal.$500 deposit required at auctions end. Balance due at pic up. If you live in the Boca Raton, Fl. area, and would like to stop by, please be my guest.
