This car is a 1982 Cutlass Calais with T-tops. It is in good condition. Only 2000 of them made like this for this year! There are things that need attention but it runs and drives good. It is dependable. I have driven this car yesterday from the time this listing was posted with no issues and have been driving it for a few years now with no issues. It has all emissions parts on it except the electronic carburator. Mechanicaly I would say the car is very sound. The body is in excellent condition. All the body panels line up perfect (see pics). There is some bondo found in the doors last I had it painted. The rest of the car is straight! No Bondo elsewhere notibly in the car including the rear quarter panels. There is some rust inside the trunk. There is some rust starting to show in one of the rockers by the front wheel but none in the fenders anywhere. There may be rust in some unseen areas I am not aware of but as you look over the car, there is nothing noticable. Windshield was replaced last year and is in excellent condition with NO nicks or cracks in it. The peice of stainless steel molding missing (as seen in pic) behind the front wheel I have in the trunk. I have not been able to find the correct clips to re attach them on both sides. There is no stereo in the car. All the parts for it are there but no stereo in it. The engine is original to the car and I had the top end rebuilt a few years ago. Since doing that, I have only driven the car locally, never out of state. The engine is the 260 ci V8. It does NOT smoke at start up or while driving! There were several engine options for this model year and this was probably the second best choice of all of them. The 350 ci being the best one. The transmission is the TH350. It is not the original transmission but it is the correct displacement for this car. The car shifts perfectly. The car drives smooth and handles well. Everything seems pretty tight with it except for the front stabilizer bushings. Nothing major, they just need tightened or replaced. I believe this car has the optional "tight ratio" steering! An option offered for this car when it was new. The wheels are off a Pontiac Firebird. They are 15" aluminum wheels and tires. One picture shows this car with Cragar SS wheels but these wheels are no longer on this car and are not availible. Tires have good rubber left on them and I could include a set of gently used studded snow tires with this car if the buyer wants them. There is a clear title in hand for this car. A "Bill of Sale" as is, will be printed and signed for buyer, at time of vehicle pick up. A print out of the eBay transaction can also be provided. This car has an excellent vehicle report! Please click tab above to veiw this report! Overall, I would say this is a great car! It could use some TLC. The power windows and locks work. The power seats work but are kind of noisey. Cruise control and air conditioner do NOT work. They will work with some repair. The heater does work. The shift knob on the console has come off but this does NOT affect the drivability. The interior looks good. There are some stains on carpet and seats but there are no tares in the seats. The carpet is coming loose behind passenger seat. There are a couple of small pin holes in the drivers seat from burns. As I mentioned, the car is original except for the transmission. The car pictured is the same being offered in this aucion! This car has a security system that I disabled by removing the fuse but can be operational by replacing the fuse under the hood.On Jul-01-12 at 18:55:59 PDT, seller added the following information: This car has new plugs and wires. Also replaced the windshield water bottle but the sprayer does not work. Needs sprayer pump rebuilt.
