Vehicle Detail
2007 Mini Cooper S, Blown Motor, 81,000 miles, Manual Transmission You are bidding on a used Mini Cooper S that has a blown engine with suspected timing chain failure. I do not have the time to replace the engine myself, but this is a great car for a gear head. Car has been parked since Feb. 25. I was getting 44 mpg before the explosion. The car has 81k miles that have mostly been driven on the highway back and forth to work. It has been in the south its entire life except for one trip to the north in the summer. It is British Racing Green with a white roof and white stripes. Aside from the motor, there are no other known mechanical issues. Highlights 1. Manual transmission 2. Has optional sport suspension package and LED shift light. 3.All 4 tires were new in December and less than 1000 miles on them. Tires are not run flats, but I also have one spare that I kept that comes with the car. 4. Front brake pads and rotors were replaced last year, rears are original but probably need to be replaced. 5. Sweet multi-colored interior accent lights. 6. Alloy wheels. 7. Brushed aluminum interior accents. Imperfections 1. The RF bumper has a small scrape and a tiny bit of chipped paint. (See picture) 2. The inside passenger door latch bezel has fallen off. (See picture) I still have it though. 3. The rear hatch latch has failed, so the hatch release needs to be done with the key fab. 4. The shifter knob cover fell off. I placed it on the shifter for the picture. It needs to be glued or replaced. 5. The rear top of the bumper has some small scratches from moving boxes in and out. 6. It has the optional center console arm rest, and the sliding cover has fallen off. Car has a clean title, and I was the original and only owner. The car is paid off. I do not smoke and no one else has smoked in it. There was one claim on it a few years ago. Some jackass with an '86 Firebird had a wheel come off of his car and it hit the passenger door. It made a small dent, and I was not going to claim it. However, after I helped him put the fire out under the hood of his car, he proceeded to call me a faggot in the middle of the road while the police were there. He was a dick to me so I filed a claim and had the ding fixed. (See picture...It was pretty funny) Obviously the car needs to be towed away, and I will leave that responsibility up to the buyer. I would like to have a $500 deposit at the end of the auction, and the balance to be paid upon pickup, ideally with a bank check or something else normal. Sad to see it go. It is a bitching little car, but I have a kid now, so it seemed like a good opportunity to get 4 doors. Happy bidding!
