Vehicle Detail

This 1971 Nova is probably one of the finest original examples of this very popular car you will ever find! The word "MINT" is way over-used, but when the shoe fits, wear it! This car is MINT! According to our records, the original owner sold this car to the Volo Museum in Illinois. We are not sure how long Volo had it, but it was eventually purchased by a person in Kenosha, Wisconsin. That person passed away a couple of years ago, and his wife sold the vehicle to me. I purchased it for my best friend who only had days to live unless he received a liver transplant. His all time favorite car in his youth was his 1971 Nova. Despondent because his liver disease had wiped him out financially, I promised him that if he hung in there and survived this ordeal, I would buy him a 71 Nova. Well, he survived, and I found this BEAUTY! He babied this car for the last two years, but unfortunately, he is no longer comfortable with his driving abilities, and does not want to risk damaging this car - so he asked me to take the Nova back. It was one of the toughest things he ever had to do, and although I didn't want it back, I really had no choice but to accept his decision. So, THAT is the reason this car is for sale. This 41 year old car has only 54,789 miles on it! That averages 1,336 miles per year. It has never seen snow or ice and has been stored in heated storage it's entire life. Comes with its original protecto-plate and much of its original paperwork. Regardless of how well any car is treated and stored, after 40 years, any car will need new gaskets and seals. They get old and dry, and need to be replaced. Last summer, that is what we did. The entire engine was removed and all new seals and gaskets were put on. The entire engine compartment was cleaned, and the engine was detailed and placed back into the car. You can see from the pictures that this car looks as clean as the day it was on the show room floor. You could eat off the engine block. The color of the Nova is gorgeous! It is Chevrolet's Cranberry Red that was available back in 1971. It has a black interior. Unfortunately, most Novas have been highly modified by some and completely butchered by others. This Nova is exactly like it left the factory! Although not an SS, this 350 cubic inch engine makes this car fly! Unlike so many cars back then, you can have the response of a sports car combined with the comfort of air conditioning! It has power steering and power brakes as well. The body is straight as an arrow and the doors and hood and trunk lid fit perfectly. Regardless of where you look, under the trunk mats, or under the car, you will not find a speck of rust on this car - anywhere. It is as solid as it was 41 years ago when they still used real metal in cars! These pictures were taken outside on a very sunny day which makes the seats look a little faded. This is not the case. The seats are as black as the day they were installed. Same for the carpet. The Nova has beautiful chrome mags and steel belted radials on it. The original ralley wheels and tires are also available with the car. You can have your choice of either set, or you can have both sets if the price is right. If you want a classic car this summer that needs NOTHING this is the car you've been looking for. I will try and answer any questions you may have about this vehicle but strongly reccommend you see this vehicle in-person - I guarantee you won't be disappointed!
