All the trim moldings were also re-grained. All the work was done professionally and it came out looking great. When the car is out and about, people always come up and say “Wow!” It’s a heck of a conversation piece. The paint job and all other work still looks nice with no chips or dents, and still very shiny. All the glass is good with no cracks. The door glass goes up and down nice. Nice grill, no chips, bumpers are straight, no dents. There is no rust in the car, and it still has both of its original California blue plates. INTERIOR: The interior has been redone with the front and rear seats being reupholstered, complete new carpet kit, new rear hatch shocks (to hold the rear door open). The door panels are nice and have no cracks. The headliner is in great shape, no cracks. The dash is beautiful, also no cracks. The factory AM/FM radio goes on but the speaker is no good (needs a new speaker). The gear indicator in the dash is not working and it also needs a neutral safety switch. It will need an A.C. compressor to make the air conditioning work. DRIVE TRAIN: The car has 104,662 miles on it and still runs great. The original 258 cu. in. 6 cylinder and 3 speed automatic transmission work great. No smoke, no noise. They both work awesome. The motor has a new water pump, new radiator hoses, new belts, new spark plugs and wires. It also has new whitewall tires, a new battery and new muffler. The carburetor was also rebuilt. New power steering pump, and new rack and pinion steering. All this work was done in 2000. The car runs, drives and looks great.
