I have decided to sell my toy. It is an almost immaculate condition barn find. I am the third owner. The car was in a tobacco barn in North Carolina for 21 years and lovingly brought back to its current condition. I have not restored the car as it does not need restoration. It is in 100% original condition except for the parts that I and the previous owner have replaced. I have three sets of original keys. It even has the original locking gas cap. I have included numerous pics, ask if you want more. I have been stopped at the store and asked to show the car at a car show. The chrome is near perfect, the original paint (Arabian Grey) is very very nice. The interior is in excellent condition, it has reclining seats and rear armrest. It has the rare white steering wheel. Power windows all work (except drivers which needs the regulator replaced, which I have) Any blemishes or flaws the car has are shown in the pics. It had FACTORY AIR, I have removed the compressor because the pivot bearing was going bad. All the ventilation fans and controls work as they should. The wipers work properly. All the lights work properly. I have installed more new parts than I can list here but to mention a few, it has all new brakes (calipers, pads, lines, booster), Ignition (points, plugs, wires, condenser, distributor cap and rotor). The gas tank has been cleaned, resealed and painted. If you are interested please message me via ebay mail and I can go into great detail on what has been done to the car. It runs great, shifts perfectly. The only driveability issue is that it does not like to idle when it is cold. It has twin carbs which probably need adjustment or rebuilding (I have the rebuild kits). I also have the steering coupling on hand to remove the play from the steering, I just don't have the time anymore to tinker with it. I have many spare parts, too many to list here. It is much too nice to be a daily driver, it needs to go to someone who will treat it the way I have. Garage kept and only driven on special occasions (to keep the mileage down). The only real blemishes are two small spots of surface rust that could be covered by a nickel and the wear on the drivers and passenger floors, other carpets are excellent and original. I have the complete original tool kit. The car is located in the Tidewater Virginia area, I can pick you up at Norfolk or Newport News airports or assist with arranging shipping. The car is for sale locally, I reserve the right to end the auction early. The car was bumped by a lawnmower many years ago. I can provide a pick to anyone who wishes. There is no rust or chipped paint associated with the dent. It is minor enough that I thought it not worth fixing. I post this in the interest of full disclosure about the car. I want no misunderstandings after the sale. I will attempt to add this photo to the listing if I can. On Nov-26-11 at 15:16:52 PST, seller added the following information: The car has 4 new tires, all with less than 300 miles on them, unfortunately I could only find two in whitewall. I have new belts and hoses too. I have just replaced the snorkel that goes between the air cleaner and the carbs with an original part from the Mercedes Classics Center.
