1976 Honda Gold Wing

Up for sale is a 1976 Honda GL1000 Goldwing Limited Edition. It is all original. It has 17,623 miles. These bikes are rare. There bikes are the only 1000 Goldwing that had triple plated chrome and gold spoked wheels. I think there were only 2,000 of them made. This one is in above average condition. The tank and side covers are a brownish / reddish color. The side covers include the original emblems. The paint is surprisingly in great shape. No fading, rash or large scratches. The seat is in very nice shape, there are no rips or tears. The chrome is average, there are some places where there is some light pitting and other places where it is heavier. Specifically the tail light mounting bracket and one of the plates that go over the rubber manifolds off of the carbs. The exhaust is nice, there are no dents, heavy rusting or heavy pitting. There is some surface rust on the exhaust underneath the bike where the mufflers meet the head pipes but it is good and solid in that area. All of the brake calipers have been rebuilt, both brake master cylinders have been rebuilt and the carbs have been rebuilt. The fork tubes have some pitting which may need addressed. The bike starts and runs. I rode it around our parking lot, I shifted through all of the gears. It shifts good, the transmission is fine. It definitely seemed like the carbs will need some fine tuning and possibly an engine tune-up. Overall on a scale of 1-10 in my opinion the bike is about an 8 to 8.5. If you are shipping it you can pay with a bank check or postal money order. I will consider delivering it for a fee within 200 miles.
