What we have here is a very nice 1964 Galaxie 500 XL Z code 390. This is a clean car. Its almost rust free. It has the Z code 390 4V that makes 300 HP. Its an automatic trans. It has the bucket seats and console. The story i have on this is this was repainted and the interior was redone in the early 80s. The owner used it for a daily driver until the trans went out. He pulled the trans and took it to the transmission shop to have it rebuilt. He died shortly after that and no one knew where the trans was. SO... the car has NO transmission in it. The bellhousing and starter are installed. The driveshaft and trans crossmember are included. As i said the guy died so i don't have a title for this. His family couldn't find the title. I will give you a bill of sale. I use Broadway Title to get my titles. Its easy. You send them the VIN, Bill of sale and 400 bucks and they send the title. As far as the condition of this car it is very complete. The only things missing are the trans, exhaust pipes, radio, pass mirror and wiper motor. The motor runs good. Its loud without the exhaust but seams OK. I have no idea how many miles are on it. The radiator is original. The body is very nice. The trunk floor has some pitting but no soft spots. The quarters are not rusty. The only rust on this car is a small spot on the drivers quarter under the quarter glass and a small area on the decklid on the right side. Neither of these places are rust holes only some bubbling. There is some bondo under the rear window but i dont think there is rust holes under it. The rest of the car is nice. The original carb and air cleaner are not on the car. It has a newer Edelbrock carb. The gas tank is full of old gas so you will need to drain and flush it. The windshield has a crack. The drivers door panel is in bad shape. I have all the handles and hardware for it and its included. I have not pulled the carpet but from the bottom i don't see any rust in the floors. The paint is dull and pealing in places. This has NOT been infested with varmets and doesn't smell. The trim and grille on this are EXCELLENT!
