Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 1971 Honda CB350 K3. The frame number is CB350-3093423 and the engine number is CB350E-3141621 making this a numbers matching correct original motorcycle. The bike has 5119 original and easy miles on it. This CB350 has been in our collection for a very long time and was purchased when nice original Honda’s could still be found. I purchased the bike because it simply was the nicest original CB350 I had ever seen. I purchased the bike from the original owner in Nebraska (still has original Nebraska registration sticker under seat, on rear fender and fork lower-can be peeled off if desired) and I have a clear title for the motorcycle. This is simply a beautiful original motorcycle and when I purchased it I parked it in my heated basement and covered with a sheet. I decided to take it out and realize I don’t have the time to give all the bikes in my collection attention. It is time to let someone else enjoy this near mint original CB350 K3. I will describe this CB350 in detail and would like to stress the fact that the bike is totally original and not to be confused with the other examples of CB350’s that are commonly offered for sale. This motorcycle has nothing in common with them and is in a league not often offered. It is un-molested and original in every way. It’s simply a beautiful original that has not been tampered with or abused in any way whatsoever. The body work on this CB350 is the nicest original set of body work I have ever seen. The fuel tank and side covers are bright and show absolutely no fading whatsoever. The tank and side covers simply appear as new. The color, light ruby red, shines and the bike appears as new when approaching it. The gauges appear as new. They have absolutely no fading at all. All colors are bright and crisp including the red portion of the tachometer. The chrome on this bike appears as new. The front and rear fender have no pitting and are as close to factory new as you will ever find. The Handlebars, rear shocks, front fork lowers, shift/kick, rims and points covers all appear as new with no signs of use or aging. The rims and hubs are the nicest originals I have seen and still have all the factory correct Honda finishes in near mint condition. The exhaust appear as new with no rust-none! The chrome appears as new and the original mufflers appear as new with absolutely no rust or damage whatsoever. The original seat is the nicest original I have come across and appears as new with no signs of use or aging. The fabric is soft and supple and the seat appears as if it has never been sat on. The original tires are the nicest original 40 year old tires I have seen. They have no dry cracking whatsoever and there is still plenty of original tred left. The bike could safely be driven on the original tires any distance with no problems. The engine and carbs on the bike are clean as new most likely because they were never dirty. The carbs shine like new and the engine looks like new. When I pulled the bike from my basement I purchased and installed a correct new battery and the bike started right up and runs and drives. I would however recommend a tune up since the bike is original and has never been tuned since new. The controls and handlebar switches all shine and show no signs of ware. All switches, signals and lights function and work as new on the bike. The original grey cables as well as all rubber parts on the bike are soft and flexible and show no signs of dry rotting or age. The horn honks and even sounds like a new horn with a bright and crisp beep beckoning each and every time the horn button is depressed. Overall, I can state with confidence that this is one of the nicest original CB350 K3’s. The fact that it has been parked in my basement most of its life has preserved this motorcycle. Again, I would like to stress that this should not be confused with the other examples of CB350’s that other sellers commonly offer and try and fool people with. It is a clean and un-touched original that has survived against all odds. This bike would hands down be a show winner at any bike show and will no doubt turn heads wherever it goes. Please look at my feedback and you will see that I only offer the finest original and rare motorcycles from my collection. This would be the perfect CB350 to add to a collection as they are so very hard to find in this condition. Also, included with the bike are original keys as well as the original tool kit which seems to have never been removed from the tool box. Regarding Payment and Shipping, I will accept a wire transfer or a certified check for the bike as well as Pay-Pal. Payment must be received within 10 days of the close of the auction.
