This car is an every day driver It is fairly rare to see a Euro model in US as well. The headlights are Euro headlights and the speedometer is in kilometers. It currently shows 000,503 kilometers which equates to about 62,500 miles. I have no reason to believe this is not true. I have the paperwork that shows its restoration that occurred back in 1995/1996. Back then it had around 94,000 km as documented on the repair receipts from various shops. For those of you that do not know the 2000CS, it was the predecessor to the E3 Coupe 3.0CS. It was built from 1965 to 1969. According to Wikipedia: Of the 11,720 New Class coupes built between 1965 and the end of production in mid-1969,[5] 9,999 were twin carburetor 2000CS coupés, 3,249 were single carburetor 2000C coupes with automatic transmission, and 443 were 2000C coupes with manual transmission.[6] This is a west coast car that spent most its life in the Bay Area in California and then the last 10 years stored indoors in Oregon and occasionally driven. I have been driving it for the last 2 months almost every day. It never fails to start and drives fine. Everything works except for the horn and the two rear windows do not roll down. The clutch and the brakes work as they should. The dual Solex carbs sound good and work good. It has an older BlueMax(??) resonator. The rest of the exhaust appears factory. The car is rust free except for a small spot under the hood where the paint has flaked off. It is just light surface rust. The car was originally blue but back in 1995 it was striped to bare metal resprayed its current off-white. The paint shows nicely. There is one small ding below the driver door (it looks like it is an imprint from a jack) and sport where the paint flaked off and has been touched up behind the rear driver's side wheel. There is also a small section of chrome trim (about 4 inches) that is missing that wraps around the passenger side headlight. The suspension works as it should. It currently has 14" E30 rims with Goodyear Eagle GTII tires with only a few thousand miles on them. I also have 13 alloy wheels with new tires from that era that the buyer can have instead of the E30 wheels if the buyer wants that instead. This car is definitely a driver and gets looks wherever I drive it. The interior is in nice shape. The wood on the dash and doors looks nice. The carpet is all there and looks good as well. The interior is a two-tone tan and beige--I cannot tell if it is original or part of the restoration done by the previous owner. The doors open and close as they should. The front power windows work as they should. The head lights, tail lights, and even blinkers work fine. It has rear defrost, but I am not sure if it works. I am not sure if the heater fan is working or not. There is no AC and no radio. I would not hesitate to get in this car and drive it anywhere--however it is a 44 year old car and anything can happen at any time. I don't think there any other low mileage 2000 Euro CS Coupes in the US that can match the price and condition of this one.
