The Giulia Sprint GT has been a favorite at auction houses in the past and commanded very impressive numbers. In recent years the availability of the “Step Nose” Alfas at auction has all but disappeared. This rare opportunity may be the last chance to obtain one of these historic automobiles for a long time to come. Up for auction we have a gorgeous 1966 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT that has had a complete and full restoration. 6 Years ago we found this Giulia and decided to take on another restoration project. We thought about what direction to take this project. For awhile we thought about chopping it up and fully modifying it into a racer and taking it to some classic car races. After starting to unravel the car we decided that this Giulia was in too good of condition to start chopping it up. Everyone involved pleaded to go back to original; so here we have this beauty after a complete disassembly, stripped down to bare metal and a 3 year restoration. The interior was removed and reupholstered with soft and vibrant red leather seats. New Carpets, Dash, and Headliner were also installed. When the car was stripped to bare metal 2 small rust spots about 3 inches across were found on the passenger floor and were repaired. While the body and interior were being restored a full mechanical restoration was taking place including the Engine, Transmission, Clutch, Brake System, Carburetors, Electrical and Cooling System. The Suspension was overhauled with new Shocks, Struts Bushings and the optional shorter springs were installed for a more aggressive lower look. The Brake system received new Brake Pads, Rotors, and Brake Lines. The Cooling system was flushed and a refurbished radiator was installed. All of the bright work was refurbished and re-chromed to a mirror finish. This car has no signs of ever being in an accident and is straight as an arrow. There are a few items that I could not in good conscience leave out. The license plates do not come with the car. No rubber trunk mat is included. The hand brake boot is missing. The shift knob was not restored and is the knob that came with the car. The hub caps have some minor dents. Other than those fairly insignificant items this Alfa is in excellent condition. This car is kept in a garage off site, if you are interested in coming to see the car please call to make an appointment.
