WANTED: New owner for my wife's beloved Eurovan. It's not easy for her to let the "Silver Bullet" go, as she loves her VWs so much she has three (see photo slideshow below). Up for auction is her SINGLE OWNER 2001 Eurovan. This van has served our family well for 154,000 miles. The transmission no longer goes in reverse, so it is time to sell her. She runs strong and is drivable in all other gears though. The control panel brake light is on as the sensors on the rear pads are gone. We haven't driven her since March. (It took me four months to talk my wife into selling, but even then she wanted to keep the silver bullet even though I bought her a brand new VW. She has finally broken the emotional bond and let me sell her.) The body is in great shape. Shortly before the transmission acted up in March I had all the small dings and scratches (10 years for a family of six will create signs of wear!) repaired as at that point, under direction from my wife, we were planning on keeping her forever. Interior is good. Again, four kids and friends, soccer games, and ten years of use shows some age. It is still in good shape though. Hopefully we find a bidder that is someone that will be able to give our Silver Bullet the love she needs and she can continue to bring joy to the owner for many years to come.
