This old truck drives good. It was originally purchased august 1959 at a price tag of 1948.00 according to the title. The 89 year old owner gave this to his son in 1971 and the son passed away last year. It has always been owned by one family. It has always been tagged. The engine is a 235 six cylinder and has a 3 speed manual transmission. It runs good and has recently had a tune up. The brakes work but you have to pump them sometimes. The tires are old and will need to be replaced. There are some dents and dings on the truck. The truck came out turqoise as you can tell from the engine compartment. The owner's son had it painted red in 1972. The bed wood was rotten and was original until about a year ago. These trucks came out with oak boards and metal strips. It is not correct for the year but will work for hauling tree limbs or trash. There is some rust on the truck and I have taken pictures of what I can see. There are 2 small pieces of tin on the floor were is is rusty. Glass is good front and rear but the 2 side glass is plexy. The radio does not work correctly and the antenna is missing. The interior is original and has a cover over the seat. This would be a great truck to restore. I would love to see it painted up with the turqoise color and all put back exactly as it was when it came out new. If you come in to drive it home I would recommend the tires.
