1971 FORD TORINO GT original paint survivor These days originality is rapidly becoming much more sought after and appreciated to often now restored cars are not only incorrect but lack the inherent commitment to quality that only original survivor cars can offer. This is a 1971 Ford Torino GT Sport roof that was special ordered from Harvey Shreve Ford in Saint Albans West Virginia in June 1971 and was delivered to the original owner on July 02,1971.The original owner were neighbors of my grand parents I have known of this car since it was new and purchased this 1971 Ford Torino from them in 1991 with 26439 miles. I have dated service receipts to document the correct mileage of 26901 I have drove this 1971 Ford Torino 462 miles in the last 20 years since purchased.The 1991 Inspection Sticker on the windshield that was the last time this car was inspected and registered on the road although I have started and moved the car serval times a year to keep everthing working correctly. This 1971 Ford Torino has all 100% original pewter metallic paint and the factory laser tape stripe no repaint no accidents or body panel replacements has the original Magnum 500 chrome wheels no chrome discoloration or curb marks with a correct set of Coker tire Firestone 500 white letter tires the original tires had been replaced with some more modern radial tires at the time I purchased the car. The vermillion red interior is all original no tears or wear has the starting instructions paper is still over the sun visor the rear seat belts never had the plastic removed. The trunk compartment has the original spare tire and jack that has never been used spare tire still has some of the factory protective coating the trunk mat is very nice and still has the trunk side cardboard panels are still intact and in very nice conduction.You will also notice some writing on the left rear wheel housing this was one of probley 25 Ford Torino that were signed by William "Bill" Shenik he was the lead designer at Ford Motor Company in the late 1960s that was the finial designer that created the 1970-1971 Torino body style sadly he passed away last August. The powertrain is a 351 Cleveland engine with a 4 barrel carburetor select shift automatic transmission factory dual exhaust and a 8 inch rear axle. The Engine compartment has all the original parts Carburetor,Distributor,Coil,Radiator, Water Pump and windshield wiper motor the belts and hoses were replaced with original style reproduction about 15 years ago. There are many pieces of original documentation with this 1971 Ford Torino including original owner West Virginia title issued on July 06,1971 Window sticker (2) assembly line build sheets Warranty card Temporary warranty card Leather key holder from Harvey Shreve Ford Envelope that the factory packed the keys in during transport West Virginia 30 day license plate that was issued to the car when sold Rust Proof and undercoating warranty certificate with follow up dates and mileage West Virginia vehicle regaration and insurance certifactes from original owner Service record documenting 1991 millage and inspection sticker that is still on the car. This 1971 Ford Torino has always been stored in a garage never was drove in bad weather and has been stored in my climate controlled showroom under a car cover since I purchased the car in 1991.
