Up for auction is my 1982 Suzuki Katana GS1000SZ. This is a mint original first year Katana with only 2,461 documented miles and the bike appears as new. I purchased this bike from the original owner who hardly ever rode it. When I purchased the bike over 10 years ago, I drove it a few hundred miles and then drained the fuel tank and parked it in my basement where it has been sitting since. I also drained the carbs before I parked the bike. This Katana would hands down be a show winner at any vintage bike show and a shoe in for most original. This would be a perfect example of a Katana for any Suzuki collector who is looking to add this powerful model to their collection. I am confident the new owner of this bike will appreciate the originality and quality of this mint example of the first Katana. This Katana runs as new. It has fresh gas and a good battery. Simply get on it and ride anywhere. It even sports the original chain and sprockets. All of the correct and original Suzuki finishes are present on this bike and in excellent condition. The fuel tank appears very close to new with only 1 small dent. The inside of the tank is clean as new. The fenders and side covers appear as new and so does the seat. The original tool kit is under the seat and it appears to have never been removed. The original exhaust are black chrome and are in excellent condition. Everything functions and works as new on this bike including the horn and turn signals. All wires on this bike are still soft and flexible and all rubber parts are mint since this bike was stored in my heated basement for most of it’s life. The brakes function as new and the front master cylinder has some minor paint peeling from the brake fluid. The bike has fresh oil and a new filter in it as well and I am also including a brand new, Genuine Suzuki oil filter and o-ring with the winning bidder for later on. I also have a clear title for the bike in my name. Please look at my feedback and bid with confidence. Overall, this is no doubt one of, if not the nicest original 1982 Katana’s available anywhere. It has not been modified, crashed or restored in anyway. It is original. It is clean with no dirt anywhere and appears as new and runs as new. This would be a great collectors piece or could be taken out and driven anywhere. Regarding Payment and Shipping, I will accept a wire transfer or a certified check for the bike.
