OregonMTB Store No Reserve!!! 1997 BMW M3 You will be hard-pressed to find another M3 for this price. It starts, runs, drives, and shifts very good. As you can see from the pictures, the prior owner (not me) had hit something in the front and it needs a few things. From my quick look at it, it looks like there was no damage to the frame rails. The left front fender appears to be the only panel that was replaced. The lower ball joints are also new. I swapped out the rims and tires as the old ones were cracked up front. The new used rims are from an E46 Sport and are 17" (with some curb rash). The rears have 50% tread or more and the fronts have maybe 25% tread. It obviously needs a front bumper cover and the sideskirts are missing as well. The door molding on the driver's door is missing. Also, there is no radio. The engine temp gauge does not always work--it is probably the $30 sensor that screws into the radiator. It has heated leather seats. The middle section of leather is torn on both front seats. The damage is limited to the center section and looks like you could new leather just replace on those sections. Also, it needs a new battery as the one that is in it won't hold a charge. The passenger side rear window does not work. The power window motor is fine, my mechanic said was probably the 3 plastic clips that attach to the window regulator. The door panel is not fully attached and will need new clips once you fix it. Other than those things it just has normal wear and tear you would see on any car with 150k on it. It is a west coast car and has absolutely no rust. Now for the good stuff--this car is fast. I had a red 97 M3 4-door automatic 3 years ago with 106k on it and I swear this white one is at least a second or two faster to 60 mph. The transmission shifts as it should. The AC is ice cold. The heat is hot. it does not run hot and starts right up (with a jump right now, because of the old battery). It feels tight driving--although I recommend you take it to your mechanic and have it inspected underneath to make sure everything is tight as I did not perform any repairs on it besides swapping the rims and I have not had it inspected. The car has a regular Oregon title that is marked Branded-California. It does not have a Salvage title--however, eBay canceled the previous listing because the title was marked as other--so this time it is listed as Salvage--even though Salvage is not printed anywhere on the title. It can easily be transferred and does not require any special inspection in any state that any other used car would otherwise require. We are a licensed, bonded, and insured dealer in the State of Oregon. Our state license number is DA2750.
