This auction is for a 2003 Volkswagen EuroVan. First introduced in 1992, the front engine/front-wheel-drive Volkswagen EuroVan replaced the rear engine/rear-wheel-drive Vanagon which was descended from the legendary VW micro-bus of the 50's and 60's. The EuroVan was a much bigger van than the Vanagon, and even today, is roomier than most minivans. The T4 Eurovan was produced from 1990 through the early 2000s when they were replaced by the T5. This was only one major change during the production lifespan of the T4 which occurred in 1994 when the front end was re-shaped. This changed allowed the VR6 six-cylinder engine to be mounted in the engine bay. This move greatly improved the vehicles performance. Those vehicles that were given this re-shaping were called the T4b with the versions retaining the original look being dubbed the T4a. The V6 is the same engine used in some of Volkswagen's performance sedans. New cylinder heads for the 2001 model year bumped horsepower from 140 at 4500 rpm to an impressive 200 horsepower at 6200 rpm. The power increase came from improved breathing, four-valve-per cylinder heads replacing the three-valve heads on the 2000 model. Up for auction is this Silver on Grey 2003 Volkswagen EuroVan GLS.
