The slash/6 series was introduced in 1974, offering many upgrades. The instrumentation was modernized. The transmissions were updated to five-speeds. The front brake was now handled by a disc. And 1976 offered even more upgrades. The alternator was enlarged. The engine and transmission were revamped greatly. The transmission was redesigned with updated shift internals.
