Vehicle Detail

This is a 1962 Plymouth Belvedere 413 Max Wedge clone. Some of you may remember this car being for sale last April by a dealer in Arizona. I purchased the car for big bucks. Saddly it wasnt the car it was advertised as. However saying that its a very nice recreation. The body is in excellent shape. It was advertised as rust free original but It has had new rear quarters put on it. It was done nicely. There is no rust in the trunk or in lower inside quarters. The paint is in excellent condition. a few blemishes around rear window. I suspect some body work has been done here. All chome and molding are present a in great shape along with the bumpers. Overall the body is a 8 out of ten. The engine is a 1967 440 marked as a 413 wedge. Mopar electronic ignition. It has the cross ram intake, I dont know if original or new. It has two new edlebrock carbs on it. It runs fantastic. Tons of power. It has an Hurst 4 speed 833 transmission with old school shifter. Works great runs through the gears great. The front crossmember has been notched for the 7 quart oil pan. Done very well. Has the Mopar High performance "stock" exaust manifolds cast iron. I dont if these are originals or new. Exaust system is new and has factory style max wedge cutouts. New Moroso shocks front and rear, new skinny moroso front tires and firestone firehawk tires on the rear mounted on old school mopar police wheels and dog dish hubcaps. Interior is sparse, radio delete and no heater. Black and grey door panels and matchin seats. Carpet is new also. Headliner is in good shape but a new correct one is in the truck. Oil pressure gage is not original all other are. Speedo dosent work, true milage unknown. It has a 8 3/4 posi rear end with 4.10 gears. I have done nothing ot this car other than I replaced the master brake cylinder and all rubber brake lines. Stops great now. There is some smoke upon start up. I suspect this car was built sometime ago and sat in someones collection. Engine compression is 120 plus all around. No hint of excessive use has alot of patina on the engine. Ive tried to list everything as trueful as I know it. It was said this was a pilot car for the old time Melrose missle but not documented. My reserve is $19000. Several thousand less than I paid to have it shipped from arizona to georgia. Located in Brunswick. Please email questions and or if you want to see it. Why am I selling cause I have too many toys. A 1942 dodge command car, 1942 dodge carryall, 1942 ford gpw jeep, 1947 willys cj2a and a 1977 police fury. Not to include my regular cars! I have never had a problem with this car, I can sit for weeks and fires right up. Clear arizona title in my name and georgia registration in my name. The intake maifold numbers in the center between the carbs is 2402726-1 and the number on the exaust manifold is m/w 413426220 mfp. I pulled the left valve cover and the only number I could find was 2402286. All the valvetrain and bolts look brand new. If someone could tell if these are original 413 parts or not I'd appreciate it. I was asked several times about ending the auction early. While I am open to offers, $19000 is as low as I will go. Im have it listed elsewhere also. If it makes the reserve I will let the auction run to completion. Sorry no trades. The body is solid on this car. I see no repairs to the floors or trunk area. Rockers appear solid and look to be original. The trunk is all original andno repairs are visible in any of the inside cornors. The wheel wells have no visible repairs and have no holes. The car came out of arizona so and rust would have been minimal. On Jan-16-11 at 10:11:24 PST, seller added the following information: Thanks to everyone who has emailed me, The Exaust manifolds are repos but the heads and intake are the real deal!!On Jan-18-11 at 12:15:50 PST, seller added the following information: Due to a ton of interest in this car, I will not end the auction early. It will run the full time. ThanksOn Jan-20-11 at 09:33:52 PST, seller added the following information: Here is what a interested buyer had to say after looking over the car., "Hi Frank thanks for letting me come and take pictures of your car. I am building a 62 dodge dart and installing a max wedge engine and seeing you car in person really help me knowing what I need to purchase for my car. I told the owner Frank I would add to his auction description since I had nothing to gain and inform bidders of acurate condition of car. After looking at your car I was really impressed with the condition of the body. The car looks to have been painted years ago with acrylic enamel and body sanded and buffed. The body panels on car are all original even the qrt panels they have not been replaced. The windshield area cowl section has not been repaired and does not have any signs of rust. Buyer can expect to replace complete interior (amature done). The drip rail and upper windshield moldings have dents the rest of chrome is nice and original. This is a very nice driver car but is not a show car so bid accordingly as owner has stated in his ad."
