Excellent condition and barely broken in for a BMW!!! Few minor scratches.(See Pictures) The K1200LT its natural state is moving you from one end of this country to the other with a minimum of effort. BMW's luxury touring bike has reinvented the class and is gathering a strong and loyal following. Developed in the early eighties, the K motor has seen continued to be one of the main stays in the BMW line. Enlarged to 1173cc and reworked to produce 100 horsepower at the crank, this newest version of the K is a wonderful motor that balances power with fuel economy while being ultra smooth. The K12 motor has 4 valves per cylinder and dual overhead cams. Then combine fuel injection, a catalytic converter and Bosch Mototronic engine management and you have a powerplant that runs clean, smooth and strong. Like to run a lot of gadgets or want the absolute biggest driving lights money can afford? The LT come with a 60 amp alternator that puts out 840 watts. We got this bike from a salvage auction and went through the entire bike checking it out completely, engine, transmission, ABS, radio, heated grips, cruise control, ect..... every thing is in great condition. The reason this bike was salvaged is the cost of purchasing new painted fairings from Germany BMW @ ($5100) because of the scratches on them would be well over the 75% value of a bike this age. It does not matter if the fairings only have light scratches on them the insurance companies are obligated to replace them with new ones. So along with labor the cost would be over $5K. We repair some cosmetic damage on our bikes and any mechanical problems we repair. But this one only had minor cosmetic damage. This bike can be registered, tagged, titled and insured in any state. We sell these salvage bikes all the time and have not had any problems. We will deliver to any state in the lower 48 for $675 or less depending on your location to Charlotte NC.
