1988 VW Volkswagon Vanagon Van - Project or Parts For sale is this hard-to-find 1988 VW Vanagon Van ideal for parts or for a project vehicle. THIS IS A NON-RUNNING VEHICLE. The serial number is WV2YB0254JH011660. The body and interior are actually in good condition, with maroon original paint and grey cloth interior. The seats in the pictures have cheap covers on them that are in bad condition, but the underlying original dove grey seats are in GOOD condition without any tears or major stains, although they would require cleaning. One picture below shows the good condition of the headliner - the picture below it shows the front seats with the cheap seat covers removed. The engine will fire and run if it is manually primed with fuel but it will not stay running. The odometer reads 175,278. It has an automatic transmission, factory A/C, electric windows and it's fuel injected. The paint is in good condition with little oxidation and no major dents or rust, but please note the damage to the front under the bug shield. I'm guessing that's why the previous owner put the bug shield/bra on. The P205/70R14 tires have good tread. I will try to answer all questions as soon as I can, but PLEASE NOTE - I am selling this Vanagon for a friend who purchased it in its current condition as a restoration project about two years ago, and very little has been done to it. Moving now requires that the vehicle be sold. It is unknown how long it sat up before then. I do not know if there are any leaks since it is a non-running vehicle. NEITHER OF US KNOW MUCH MORE THAN THAT ABOUT THE CONDITION OF THIS VEHICLE! This is really a pretty clean van, especially inside and outside except for that spoy under the driver windshield.
