Vehicle Detail

This car started out as a 1971 Mach 1 Mustang "M" code car. That means it has the 351 4V engine with a 4-speed manual transmission. The car has the competition rear end (posi with staggered shocks and rear sway bar). It has the 3 gauge center console. It also comes with the following options: tinted glass, fold down rear seat, power front disc brakes, power steering, 8 track (not factory), 15 inch wheels and ram air. This car was restored 4 years ago and was completely repainted. When it was painted, it was stripped and car car was taken apart. All the parts were jammed. It was painted with Dupont base/clear and still retains a great shine. It has the correct "boss" blackout treatment on the hood, rockers and rear body. It has the correct decals for the boss 351. The car also features a genuine boss door with correct sticker and matching dash pad that includes an original boss VIN taken form a salvage boss mustang. The door and dash VIN match. The title for the mustang is branded as "reconstructed". I don't know the history of the car. When I bought it, it was a daily driver. This car runs, drives and starts great! When the car was restored, it included the following new parts: front valence, rear valence, front brakes, magnum 500 wheels, lug nuts, BF Goodrich T/A tires, front sport lamps, chrome front bumper, front spoiler, turn signal lenses, chrome hood twist locks and radiator brackets, radiator shroud, fender bolts, distributor, battery and cables, hoses and belts, plugs, filters, carpet, headliner, dome lamp, sound deadening underlayment, all weatherstripping and door seals, PPG front windshield, marker lamps and seals, sill plates and stickers, dash pad, window cranks, door lock knobs, water shields, sail panels, rear window seal, mirror gaskets, rear spoiler gaskets, The engine features a Eldebrock 600 cfm carb (with manual choke). It has headers. New exhaust system (from headers on back). This car could use a tune up. The clutch also needs adjusting. The car needs new door panels. U put black duct tape on the armrests and it doesn't look very good (see picture). These cost approx $300. It also needs new seat covers in the front. The rear seats are ok. This car is very straight. The roof is a little wavy. The car had a sunroof in it when I bought it. There 2 minor bubbles in the paint on the roof. These have been there a long time and have not changed or gotten worse. You may chose to repaint the roof. I wouldn't. If you ever wanted a Boss 351 "clone" or tribute car, this is it. This car will fool almost everyone. On Oct-29-10 at 14:52:49 PDT, seller added the following information: Also includes new: master cylinder, power booster, front suspension (lower control arms, upper and lower ball joints, bushings, etc). On Oct-31-10 at 08:26:05 PDT, seller added the following information: Additional info: More new parts include: turn signal stalk, reproduction (non functioning rev limiter), rear view mirror, head lamps, front shocks, grille emblem, gas tank seal and fill pipe seal, front bumper to fender fillers and more. Other nice things include a functioning reverse lockout (the car needs to be in reverse before you can remove the ignition key) and shoulder seat belts that hang along the inside roof line. The 8-track looks good but isn't hooked up. Very easy to hook up if you wanted to. The Led Zep tape will be included with the car. The headliner is new but has some wrinkles in it (can be fixed) and one of the chrome windshield pillar pieces has a few dents in it (see picture). This car is 40 years old, so it is not perfect. I am trying to be up front with everything about the car so there are no surprises. I have sold 2 mustangs over ebay and both buyers have been very happy. See my feedback. If you have questions, please ask.
