You are bidding on a very nice solid 1962 Catalina . The car is originally from California, as you can see from the Liscense plates. When I purchased this car it has been tarped for about 10 - 14 yrs. I brought it home, put new plugs, rotor cap, points, and fuel pump in it. The car does run and drive. Then I lost fuel due to a air leak in the sending unit in the tank. I by passed the sending unit and it ran again. Before I could fix the sending unit, the starter was getting weak and just quit. So you need a new sending unit, and starter and this car will be back on the road. I dont know much about this car, I purchased it from a car who has had it since his dad bought it brand new in California. The car has a 389 engine, and power brakes, power steering, like new ventura interior. The interior is like new, the chrome has a little bit of pits, nothing some wax will clean up, and the back seat has sun damgae as you can see by the picks, and the back part of the headliner is falling down. The body of the car has some surface rust, as you can see where the tarp soaked in water, but there is no soft parts, and everything is solid. The car has the original paint, so there is no body fixing, or bondo here. The car floor is solid, and the trunk floor, has a little bit of rust trying to come through, about 2 in long , pin hole strips, not all the way through.
