Vehicle Detail

We are offering a seldomly found in america 1936 Austin 7 Open Touring Car in Very Nice Original Condition. The story of this little Austin is Unique.According to the Prior owners Estate,This car was first sold in England Feb of 1936 and was exported to Malaysia,Kula Lumpur in 1956.We have the Malaysian Log book which indicated it was first on the Road there in Dec.1956.It remained there with several owners untill a Service man purchaced it in 1970 and it was exported to San Francisco where it remained in storage untill it was Transported to Georgia where it stayed in storage for many more years. We purchaced it from his estate in May.A inspection found this car to be Chassis #233632 Motor # M 217200 and Body Number AAL 440.Generally the Car is in Very Good condition. The Body is Very Sound with no evidence of Rust or Damage. We poked around the undersides and found a lot of original Black paint on the frame and floorboards. The Interior appears to have been Reupostered at some time with a Brown Vinyl. The Convertible Top is also in good condition with a small hole on top.We also have all four side curtains in good condition.Being a British Car Mechanic i was determined to make this classsic Run.We found The Springs that control the weights for advance in the Distributor had broken and thats perhaps when the last ride occured. With Help from Forums in England we contacted the Distributor Doctor in Somerset England and totally overhalled the Distribtor,Rebuilt Carb and installed a New 6 volt battery. After some effort It Fired right up with the help of an external fuel source.Im happy to report the Motor starts right up with No Smoke or bad noises.I adjusted the Brakes and Drove it around my neighborhood,Wow what a Blast. All Four gears and reverse work and it even stops via cable Brakes.I have not removed the fuel tank to clean and make run on its own tank but the fuel system appears intact but needs attention.I did not notice the electrial system charging so assume it needs attention.also.It even has a set of Dunlop gold seal.Tires which are very old but still look good.Check out the lucas king of the road head Lamps. We are selling this classic Austin in AS IS condition with its Original Malyasan Log Book as its title. We encourage questions and inspections before the end of the auction.Buyer responsible for all Shipping charges but we will help in arrangments for Shipment Worldwide.Bid with Confidence with my over 1000 positive feedbacks and 100% Rating good luck.
