Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1984 Nissan 300zx Turbo 50th Anniversary model. All stock All original Never modified, 181200 original miles, 3.0 V6 Turbo Charged Motor, 5 speed manual transmission, full power fully loaded, T-tops, Rear wheel drive, 50th Anniversary Model. The most collective of all the Z models with only 5000 made for USA. Comes with original 50th Anniversary gold key. This 300zx runs great with TONS of power, Starts right up with no trouble, Transmission shifts smooth and clutch feels great. Sorry about the pictures.. it was really hard to take them because it was super sunny and there are trees making shade in some areas... pictures look worse than the car is. The 300zx is dirty and needs to be cleaned.. I tried to hose it off but it needs a good wash and the inside needs to be wiped down. most of the pictures look bad inside because its dirty. I purchased this 300zx from the original owner. The original owner purchased it in California .. so it is a CA smog/emisions LEGAL vehicle. However I do also have the other states ECU computer which is standard on these cars other than CA and just plugs right in and gives you an additional 30-40 horse power.. Its the standard Nissan computer that came with all the Turbo 300zx that were not sold in CA, That will come with the car. UNlike most people on ebay I will tell you everything wrong with this car. This car does require a bit of small repairs that should not require any parts replacement. Its mostly electrical trouble shooting ( probably a relay or two ) When the original stereo system was removed the original owner unhooked some of the electrical plugs under the dash. I dont know why but ever since then, the lights dont come on (headlights, break lights and hazard flashers) also when he did he also played with the heater/air conditioner unit right above the stereo and now that also is not working. I am no mechanic so I dont know what to look for. But was told all of that is an easy repair as it is all there, It just needs to be hooked up again I guess. The car sat for about 2 years and the gas was bad so I had the gas emptied and new fuel pump installed, Now it runs great. The THROW OUT BEARING at the shift fork in the bell housing should be replaced.. it still works fine it just makes a slight noise. I do have this bearing brand new along with a FULL clutch kit which includes new clutch, Pressure plate, Pilot bearing, throw out bearing and alignment tool ( Kit was $480 ) I just figured since I was going to replace the throw out bearing I might as well do the whole clutch assembly too since it would be apart anyways... even though the clutch is working perfect. If the winning bidder wants the WHOLE clutch kit I will take $150 for it. If not I will just list it on ebay later. The rear driver side shock needs a new upper bushing. Needs glove box latch (it doesnt close). It did sit in the New Mexico sun for that time and the top of the dash did get a bit dried out and cracked in a couple places. The Body is perfect with NO dents but the clear coat is faded on the top. The driver side inside door handle needs a very small plastic insert that hooks up the door opening rod at the handle (0.99 cents at junkyard). Like most of the digital dash display cars especially this old it does need some Re soldering on the back of the circuit board.. as the soldering is old and cracked and does not allow a few gauges to work on the cluster ( Temp, oil, volt and fuel gauges) All other gauges work correctly. This is a known issue with these cars and just require re soldering the connections on the back of gauge cluster... an easy fix. I also have the T-top covers for when T-tops are removed that will come with the car. Also the T-top sun shades in good condition and come with the car. This car is a project car cause of all the small repairs it needs all though this car does run great and most everything works good. After all it is 26 years old. Over all general condition is good especially for a 26 year old car. It is a very highly sought after collector car... It just need a little attention I dont have the time for. I know I made it seem like it needs a lot but it really doesnt and they are all SMALL repairs that will not require parts.. but I just wanted to make sure I give an accurate description to the best of my knowledge. Like I said It runs good but has a few things that need minor repairs. I hate to sell this Nissan but I just dont have time for it and more importantly I only have a 1 car garage and I have 3 other cars, just no room for it. Buyer needs to arrange pick up or shipping. A minimum amount of 500 deposit needs to be made SAME DAY auction ends through paypal and the remaining balance WITHIN 7 days. Thank you for looking at my auction and GOOD LUCK BIDDERS! The 1984 NISSAN 300ZX 50th Anniversary Edition These Silver and Black 50th Anniversary Edition Z's have become one of the more Collectable Z Car Models. INTRODUCTION: To commemorate their 50th Anniversary (1934 to 1984), NISSAN MOTORS Ltd. issued a Special Edition version of their new 300ZX Turbo. The 1984 300ZX Turbo "50th Anniversary Edition" was produced in limited numbers. A continuation of the popular Z-Car line, the 300ZX featured substantial technical advantages over its predecessors and continued the movement of the Z Car from its role as a Sports/GT toward a more modern and luxurious Grand Touring Car. While a few other 300ZX Turbo models that year displayed the 50th Anniversary logo only 5000 1984 300ZX's received the truly "significant" appearance and performance enhancements found in the 50th Anniversary Edition Option Package.
