1978 VOLKSWAGEN CONVERTIBLE SUPER BEETLE Body Body has a dent in the right front fender and some rust spots which I point out in the pictures. The back left floor board has been replaced recently, while the back right floor board is rusted through a little as shown in pictures and will eventually need replaced. Convertible top does not leak but is starting to dry rot and will need replaced soon. JCWitney has one for under $200. Has a back window for the convertible top (not installed) - this normally costs $200-$300 and is in perfect condition. Other Has a 1200cc carburetor single port motor which does not run for unknown reason. (Originally the car had a 1600cc fuel injected motor.) Tires leak but are not flat. Odometer says 29,370 miles, but it probably has 129,370 miles. Vin # is 1582028408 as shown in photo. Has a SALVAGED title and paper work. Please read ALL! This is a great little project car and has potential for a full restoration! This particular year is not easy to find and normally are very difficult to find under $5000.
