The previous owner put it in storage, paying faithfully every month… and then disappeared. I purchased this from the storage facility and am offering it for sale here. We've had this towed to our warehouse in Anaheim, California… just south of Los Angeles and near Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm. This is being sold as-is, for repair or restoration or parts… it’s been neglected and is NOT ready for use as it sits. All of my observations and descriptions here are based on me walking around and checking things out with just my limited knowledge. Generally speaking, I spend about 20 minutes with vehicles like this and most of that is taking photos and video… we clean things up just enough for photos, test very little if anything, and move on. Please feel free to ask specific questions about anything that’s unclear or especially important to you. This looks like you might expect something to look that’s been sitting unused at a storage lot for a while… it’s dirty and hasn’t been cleaned in a long time. EXTERIOR CONDITION: Walking around the outside I see small scratches, but not many dings and no dents. The paint is faded and is probably a repaint of the original color. Please look closely at the photos to see the general condition and the imperfections here and there. I see absolutely NO rust on this car at all, including under the car, under the doors... none. The glass all looks good. The windows roll up & down and the doors lock ok. The rear hatch electrical works, and the hatch stays up as it should. The gas door pops open electrically like it should. The doors and hood open and latch properly, although the passenger door squeaks. The tires look ok. I see no cracks and a reasonable amount of tread. License plate shows a last registration sticker of 2009. INTERIOR CONDITION: The interior seems fairly complete, but there is some wear... the driver's door panel is very worn and the passenger's is better, but still worn. The carpet needs cleaning. There are some tears in the driver's seat, and some stains on both seats. The dash area looks good, but the radio is missing. MECHANICAL CONDITION: We have NO KEYS to this vehicle and therefore cannot test any motor functions, transmission, brakes, etc. AGAIN, NO KEYS with this vehicle. We tested the headlights, brake lights, horn and some basic functions and those worked... but we can't test anything else. Therefore you are buying this vehicle in completely AS-IS mechanical condition. Of course I would have no way of knowing the working condition of any of the systems in this unclaimed storage vehicle. You'll need to go through everything to see what works and what needs repair. Things will need fixing or replacing, as they do with any old car. Remember, this is being sold AS-IS for parts or repair. Count on nothing working so you can be pleasantly surprised if it does. SUMMARY: There you have it… one promising vehicle that you can name your price on… the best thing I can do is offer this for sale at a cheap opening bid with no reserve and let you decide what you think is a fair price. *************************************************************************************** ABOUT THE TITLE, REGISTRATION AND PAPERWORK: As you know, this was abandoned at the storage facility by it’s previous owner. The storage facility went through the legal California Lien Sale process and sold the vehicle to me. I am selling the vehicle to you. I will provide the complete lien sale paperwork (from the storage facility to me) AND a Bill of Sale (from me to you) for this vehicle. Lien sale paperwork allows you to take title in your name within California. Legal ability to take clear title is guaranteed by the lien sale company who processed this particular lien sale. Wherever you plan on registering this vehicle… those are the facts. I do not know what state or country you live in or what you plan to do with the vehicle, so I wouldn’t know what impact these facts may have on your plans for the vehicle. I’m providing the paperwork stated only which is all I have. If you are not comfortable buying an AS-IS vehicle from unclaimed storage with lien sale paperwork for a price that you decide, then this auction is not for you. If you have questions about how to register this vehicle in another state or country, consult someone who would know about this such as the DMV, Automobile Club, or a storefront Vehicle Registration Service. FOR OUR NON-USA BUYERS: This vehicle comes with paperwork allowing the buyer to take title in California. It does NOT come with a title for export. If you plan on taking this vehicle out of the USA, you MUST title the vehicle for export yourself... I cannot title it in my name or help you with that process. What if it’s a piece of crap? What about the seller… I don’t even know who you really are? How can I be sure you aren’t a scam artist? A: Actually, you have a lot of ways to be sure of things here. As far as the item, there are tons of pictures to show you all the important views and aspects of what you are considering buying. I have a little experience with selling vehicles on Ebay and try to take the best pictures I can based on what I think is important to the buyer. You can also come and take a look at this item, or hire an outside inspection service to come and check it out for you, or maybe you know a friend who lives in the area… and I’d be glad to meet them for your inspection. As far as the seller, you should always click on the number near the seller’s name before purchasing anything on Ebay… this will give you the feedback history for the seller based on previous customer’s experience, and will tell you how long they’ve been selling on Ebay. In my case, you can also click on the little “ME” icon near my name and see a picture of me and some of my helpers, my address, business phone number and other information about who you are dealing with.
