Vehicle Detail
2000 Buick Regal GS, supercharged 3800. We bought this car new in late 1999. The engine oil has always been changed on schedule. Even the separate oil reservoir for the supercharger was checked periodically (most owners and lube shops don't know about it). It is rust free (spent entire life in low-humidity Colorado). The supercharged 3800 engine is a simple and superb power plant, with plenty of power. At this time the "Service Engine Soon" light is on. The idle is not what it should be (somewhat rough), although the emissions and power output seem normal. The drive-train does not make any unusual noises. It is very possible that one of the engine sensors (oxygen sensor, air flow sensor, etc) is bad. Or it may just need new spark plugs (they have never been changed !) The transmission shifts perfectly. The "Low Coolant" light is on all the time, even when the reservoir is full. The power steering system works, but there is a small fluid leak somewhere. The condition of the car is not so good, however. The interior is damaged in many places and worn. The big problem now, however, is that the left front brake rotor is totally shot. The brake caliper sounds and feels like it is dragging. Because of this, I would not recommend driving it more than a mile or two. The car came with every available factory option. Some of them are currently non-functional. The air conditioning system does work very well (delivers COLD air - the refridgerant was recharged a couple years ago when the condenser was replaced). The "Monsoon" stereo system works, although I don't know if all the speakers are functioning. The power seats work. Driver's seat heating element does not work. The power sunroof works. Neither of the rear side power windows function. Left rear window is wired shut because the gear teeth broke. Right rear window can be pushed up or down by pushing/pulling on it by hand. The front side windows operate intermittently, as do the power door locks. The automatic mirror dimming system also works intermittently. The automatic trunk release does not work most of the time. The windshield is cracked. The front bumper is cracked in the license plate area. The body has a few light scrapes. The sheet metal is good. The car has never been in an accident except for the minor cracked front bumper fascia. The original air bags are intact and have never deployed. The original catalytic converters are still installed and functioning. The headlamps and tail lights work. The car has the nice original 16" chrome aluminum wheels with Goodyear tires. Moderate tread life left on the front tires. Rear tires have a lot of tread life remaining. The original space-saver spare tire has never been used and is included. The original "window sticker" (shown below) is included. The original Owner's Manual is also included (not shown). Two sets of keys included. This car could be fixed up to make a daily driver. Or it could be used for parts. The engine, supercharger, transmission, wheels, and tires comprise most of the value. Email me if you'd like a personal inspection. Clear title included. The car must be picked up in Loveland, CO. Full payment due before (or at time of) pickup. There is no warranty or guarantee of any kind on this vehicle. Start bid is one cent with no reserve of any kind. High bidder gets it - simple as that (this is a true auction). On May-08-10 at 10:22:49 PDT, seller added the following information: The fuel gauge does not work. Other gauges are functioning.
