Good Ole’ Eddie… Just traded locally, here is a nice looking Expedition EL Eddie Bauer with all the buttons, bells and whistles and runs well too. The 5.4L V8 runs strong with good power, no puddles underneath, transmission shifts smooth, and brakes and suspension ride out how you’d expect a full-size tank like it is. There is a check engine light on for P0606 Camshaft Sensor and there’s a rough idle but the truck can be driven the way it is and sometimes when you turn off the truck and turn it right back on, it goes away. I’m far from qualified to look into it further so that’s the way we’re selling it but otherwise you won’t find any issues in the mechanical department. The interior is in nice shape with the only notable wear and tear being a small split on the driver’s outside bolster from sliding in and out. The three rows of leather look great, headliner and dash are perfect, carpets are clean throughout and the A/C, heat, and stereo all work as they should. There are no bad odors inside. The body looks nice with shiny two-tone paint, no big dents and minimal surface rust showing on the rocker panels but no holes or rot and the undercarriage looks clean. The front bumper cover is cracked/scuffed and there are some cracks in the paint in a few places that I showed an example of. The tires look nice with around 50% tread. If you were looking for an affordable full-sizer, this one will be sold with no reserve so thanks for looking and good luck with the auction. We sell exclusively on eBay auction to other dealers and the general public and advertise them in their as-is state as we would sell to another used car dealer. We have since sold over 6000 cars in this fashion. As is the case with all our cars, we don’t clean them, we don’t repair them, and try to describe them to the best of our ability. We don’t pull the wheels to check the brakes but drive them to determine what we feel is wrong. If dash lights are on, we tell you and if they are not on and come on for you on your trip home, it is your responsibility as our cars are sold AS-IS. If you should encounter a major problem, we are here to help you and won’t leave you in the lurch but will not be responsible for minor cosmetic or mechanical defects that come with being an as-traded used car. It is the buyer’s responsibility to perform a pre-sale inspection or express any and all concerns prior to placing a bid and prior to winning the final binding auction. Wholesale & Prior to Re-Conditioning The cars you see on our eBay auctions are what we would call “raw trade-ins” from the new car dealers. These are cars that have not been cleaned, have not been run through shops, and have not been repaired in preparation for a sale. Buying a car in this Wholesale Capacity allows you to buy the car for less money and me to do less work. There will be assumed costs on minor defects and routine-maintenance items that come with being used. If you are receptive to buying a car in this fashion, the savings are yours. Because we sell our cars all over the world and in every state, inspections are not guaranteed in any state as each state differs in their requirements so it is virtually impossible for us to guarantee inspection. Options such as power windows, cruise control, air conditioning etc. are not guaranteed however we will do our best to mention any items that are not working. Administrative Fee We have sold over 5000 cars on eBay in the last six years and have never charged any fees. However, the cost of doing business recently has skyrocketed out of sight and we are forced at this time to ask for a nominal $75 fee on top of the price of the car sold and any motor vehicle fees. I truly apologize for this change in policy however the cost of doing business and the increasing number of no show bidders dictates this moderate administrative fee. Motor Vehicle & Issuing of Plates Within walking distance of our car lot, there is a Pennsylvania-state motor vehicle agent that will issue Pennsylvania license plates and out-of-state temporary 60 day plates. They will accommodate all our customers within their normal business hours which are 9-5PM on weekdays and on Saturdays from 9-12PM, same as our hours. You can of course bring your own license plates / temporary tags if your state allows. It is mandatory that if you need plates you bring with you your drivers license and your insurance card for your present car. Names, addresses and dates must be valid on both items. Our requirements are that the high bidder should pay an immediate deposit of $500 via PayPal upon completion of the auction and the car should be paid in full within 7 days via cashiers check, cash if in person or money order. The deposit can also be made over the phone via MasterCard or Visa; however, payment in full cannot be made with a credit card or PayPal. A common problem on these Ford trucks with 5.4L V8 motors is bad cam phasers, causing an out-of-time misfire and spark knock noise. The truck will periodically sound like it has an engine knock. You can turn it off and turn it back on and the noise will go away. I'm in the business of easy transactions for my customers and my opinion if you're taking it far is to have it towed to a Ford mechanic and not drive it long-distance. **
