Vehicle Detail

1963 CORVETTE ROADSTER, This is a running and driving car, I have not owned the car for long but will describe everything as best I can. I bought it as a project but really wanted a 65. I bought a 65 and now want to sell this 63. I will start with the body. wheel openings have been cut and arched, but they do make repair panels if you don't like that look. the hood is junk. The scoop was molded on and hood saged in the process so does not fit the greatest. I see no rust issues anywhere with body or frame. My guess is it was painted in the 80s, looks like acrylic enamel paint. Paint is checked on the entire car. Original color was Daytona Blue. stainless is actual very nice, I would say the chrome is driver quality. Windshield has a chip in it. Top has no rips and looks decent. Interior looks original. Drivers seat bottom is ripped, the rest is good but old. dash pad is good gauges are clean and work. door panels are driver quality. aftermarket radio. carpet is badly faded. the motor is not original it was rebuilt sometime in the past 10yrs but have no info on it. block #3858174 stamped code looks like F06I5HCH but is hard to read. Runs and sounds great, Mild cam, edelbrock carb and intake. transmission Im guessing is original shifts up fine but does not like to down shift unless stopped. The suspension has all been upgraded to VBP performance suspension both front and rear. All new tubular control arms and adjustable links with bilstien shocks. I have all original suspension that was removed that goes with the car. It does have power steering that I think was added. the brakes are still drum but power assist was added. Stops straight and nice. Will need exhaust, sounds good not loud but was cut for suspension work and the flowmasters are rotted. the car is fun to drive the way it is but deserves to go to the next level of either resto or taken back to original. title in hand. Happy to answer questions however im not going to search for numbers. VIN tag and title match. Trim tag is also there. It is what it is. buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping. If you would like to see the car in person it is located in Bettendorf Ia. 52722. send me a message thru ebay and we can arrange a time for you to do so. I have no interest in selling the car outside of ebay.On Aug-23-18 at 15:24:46 PDT, seller added the following information: After answering some questions there are a couple things that should be mentioned. The heater core was bypassed at some time. I not know if it leaked or if the previous owner did is to keep hot air from blowing into the car. My 65 is the same way. headlights work but one is a little lazy opening and closing. On Aug-24-18 at 09:13:20 PDT, seller added the following information: Just to add another note. The amount of questions being submitted has been great. Please keep in mind that this is a 55 year old car. It has sat more in the past 20 yrs. than it has been driven. It is not in perfect condition but is a great starting point for someone that wants to get into a mid year in the 20s If your worried about if the cigarette lighter works than this probably is not the car for you. I have not owned the car for long and tried to describe its condition as best I can. I have driven the car short distances with no issues. I would recommend trailering or transporting it to its final destination so you may determine reliability on your own.
