Vehicle Detail

If you have been looking for that classic muscle car investment then this rare Classic CHARGER just may have your name on it! These 1960's muscle cars have incredible investment potential, and have been referred to as rolling bank accounts! According to the previous owner this has a 400 engine. I'm a Cutlass gm guy, so I just know where to look for the block numbers on an Oldsmobile, but never learned where on a dodge. If anyone is concerned and would care to explain where to check numbers I will gladly verify the authenticity of the block. I can say that from the 2 mechanics that looked at it, they claimed its a 383. the car came with a 383 from the factory according to the vin. I picked this DODGE up in a trade a few weeks ago. I'm selling this car as needing work here and there to bring this back to showroom new former glory. I was told this car had never been in any accidents, and everywhere I inspected I saw no signs of this car ever having any major damage. In my opinion I would say all the body panels ARE VERY STRAIGHT , but the floor could use a little patching . . The bumpers look straight, NICE chrome. All the panels look original to the car. HIDEAWAY HEADLIGHTS , do not work,(not hooked up) but can flip em over by hand . they do turn on when you pull the switch . this is by no means a show car trailer or queen , but it is a nice driver to enjoy as such , gets lots of compliments , rarely see another one at the car shows. With each passing year, it is becoming increasingly more difficult to find any true 66 charger for a reasonable price. To find one in this shape at "No Reserve" especially Red . I'm sure most muscle car guys will agree that this color and interior combination is one of the most popular and most desirable. This body has a few chips in the paint (NOT SHOW CAR, BUT VERY PRESENTABLE) This CHARGER has been driven to one cruise/car show last week , its roadworthy , but could use a carb adjustment or timing needs to be set, that will be left up to the winning bidder. has a new battery , All I know is once this car is fine tuned and or restored to its former beauty the new owner will most likely have endless thumbs up wherever they drive. You should have an outgoing personality to drive a car like this, because everywhere you go people will be attracted to you like a magnet. The engine was detailed and appears to have most of its original components that came on this from the factory many years ago. Has Power Steering, corners with ease (front tires may rub on sharp turns but easily avoidable ....(due to 20" wheels ) AM/FM Stereo Radio, cd player , lights up , no sound, speakers may not be hooked up, i never checked into it . headlights come on , brake lights work too according to the guy that followed me to the recent car show at "Eastwood " The corners of the doors are still good rockers, fender bottoms, lower quarters all good, and both doors open and close nicely from the inside however the drivers door rod must have fell off so it wont open from the outside, merely reach in to open it. all 4 windows and both vent windows do open. the door and trunk locks were never re installed since the paint was completed. The trunk lid is also in nice condition. This car was originally all red from what i believe , but now has this awesome RED over SILVER with a yellow hand painted stripe to break it up. The front and the rear floor pans are the originals and will need a little repair work. (hole on driver side floor) The carpeting could use replacement as well. I never had the car up on a lift, but from everywhere I looked the frame looks in good condition. I believe the rear-end to be whatever the charger had probably non Posi-Traction in 1966. The original trunk floor is decent . The original dash pad is in very nice shape with one crack, and I was told the mileage is correct at just over 92000. the dash was never cut up like was typically done back in the day. The door panels have some cracking . Since I don't know that much about chargers I'm thinking the new owner can take pride in this car and perfect and complete it while cruising and enjoying it. This sale is being made with a clean, clear, and open title. These older classics that have survived for over 50 years are becoming harder and harder to find in any condition especially in a red with red decent interior from the factory. What you see is exactly what you get!! no warranty expressed or implied, its an old car, no refunds , all sales final please understand, serious bidders only, thank you !! The Nada Classic Car Price Guide currently has listed $37,790 in high condition, which they consider an excellent overall vehicle that was completely restored, or an original vehicle showing very minimal wear. Note: This value does not represent a 100 point show car or a #1 vehicle. Those vehicles can reach much higher prices.$25,259 in average condition, which they consider in good overall condition that could be an older restoration or a well maintained original vehicle that is completely operable. The exterior paint, trim, and mechanics are presentable and serviceable inside and out. They say an average condition car is considered a 20-Footer!Nada has the lowest condition value at $10,325 being considered a deteriorated restoration or a very poor restoration, but mostly usable "As-Is!" The lowest value does not represent a parts car, but would be considered as the price for a car needing a complete restoration. The numbers don't lie! This 1966 CHARGER is a very valuable automobile if restored properly! This Charger is an investment that I believe will continue to rise as these cars have shown to consistently escalate in value. Here is a prime opportunity to acquire your dream car at a nominal price. I tried to list everything I know about this car when writing this description. If you feel I may have left anything out please ask as many questions as you like. To sum it up , it was factory equipped with a 383 engine but may have a 400 (according to previous owner ) however , according to the 2 mechanics that looked at it its a 383 .runs drives stops steers , could us a tune up or some adjustments to timing or carb as it does stumble a bit when warmed up. AUTOMATIC TRANS , SHIFTS SMOOTH , FLOOR SHIFTER , 4 wheel power drum brakes , starts every time, edelbrock 4bbl carb, edelbrock intake, nice wires , new voltage regulator, and new ballast resistor, dual exhaust has a nice aluminum radiator, electric fan, trans cooler does not overheat . has new 20" billet wheels, new tires , oil and filter were changed recently to get ready for spring cruising . rare folding rear seats CALL or TEXT with any questions ......... 708 514 4832 .........bidders are urged to come see the car in ALSIP, ILLINOIS 60803 PRIOR TO BIDDING This Red Diamond in the rough that is being offered for the first time on a quick 5-day "No Reserve" auction that will sell to the highest bidder on Sunday evening .
