Vehicle Detail
This is a 1972 F250 360 CI 2V carb C-6 Tranz with 3:73 rear gears. It has a documented 86,900 miles on it. I purchased it 6 weeks ago. I have in that time frame gone completely through it. I had a friend see it the day I bought it, and tell me he wanted it for his daughter, in high school. So with that in mind, I did a complete mechanical go through, so to be safe for a first time driver. The guy I bought it from in the last 33 years of owning it only put less than 6,000 miles on it. He used it to haul branches and launch his Chris-craft woody boat. I build trucks, muscle cars, pulling trucks, you get it. The truck is 100 % original. In very good condition. It had a full cover undercoating on it. not used in salt, only boating summer time. I have many launch slips in truck from lots of years. There is 2 dents on entire truck. one on bottom of tailgate from not closing ball latch, he said it was a bad day that day, and one on the top of box inside behind driver both are not that bad. It has the tires on it from when I purchased it. I bought 2 good used ones that have the skinny profile to match, they go with truck. There is some rust in typical places, but alot better than most I have seen. This is in excellent running condition. There is some pictures in listing of the work done to it, as I did it. Not typing in just read. The last time I worked on engine, installed points, I took for test run I went little over 90 mph and that is when spedo cable let loose, so maybe 4 miles ago. This is what I did not fix, needs a heater core installed, and horn does not work I never checked it out. It has a am/FM CB radio, radio works well but did not dig in too hard on CB I usually take them out and use old tv tuner cleaner on the dials. There is a spare tire in bed, they all are stock 16 inch rims and tires. If need to call bill 815two4five8twofiftysevn. See picts for list of work done, drive home ready. On May-19-17 at 16:34:58 PDT, seller added the following information: The 360 engine has a 2 barrel carburetor, plenty of torque and throttle. Tranny kick down works well, and it will light them up with some sideways action on turns. Drives down the road great with no rattles or noises. Exhaust is quiet and new. It also has the spare tire carrier with hardware included, glass is great, doors shut like new, and the windows go up and down tight, with great seals. I also found two rare items in truck, one is the original build sheet that was behind the seat springs, it was a little sad but I took it out and laminated the whole sheet, that is in glove box now. The other is an assembly line transmission plug with rod that was in the pan when I serviced it, now removed. It is a great truck awesome drive train strong with lots of life left. I named her SPYDER.
