Winter she is a comin’ and it’s not too early for a four wheel drive. Just traded, here is a very nice looking and very good running 2005 Explorer XLT, not a Sport Trac with three rows of seats and four wheel drive and although not perfect, a good car all the way round. I say not perfect because the two front wheel bearings are making noise but the car runs terrific with no other mechanical explanations needed. No warning lights on in the dash, brakes feel great, exhaust is quiet and the car sits on four tires worn around 30% so you might want to put a set of rubber on it before the severe weather comes. The passenger side rear door is stuck and won’t open so you will have to attend to that but that shouldn’t stop you from buying a good car. The body is really in nice shape with no major dents, no rust anywhere on it or under it and real nice original paint and although not detailed, buffed or waxed, a really nice looking car from all angles. The interior is in nice shape with no rips or tears in the seats, good carpets, dash and headliner and no smells of anything except Ford. If you were looking for a four wheeler for the winter and didn’t want to pay big money and the few items mentioned won’t deter you from buying a good used car, here is a good one needing little and it will be sold wit h no reserve so thanks for looking and good luck with the auction. My name is Mike and I own Michaels Auto Center in New Hope, Pa. We sell on the average 15 to 20 cars a week on eBay on a wholesale AS-IS basis and have done so for the past 10 years. We buy our cars from the local new car dealerships just as they are traded from their previous owners. We sell exclusively on eBay auction to other dealers and the general public and advertise them in their as-is state as we would sell to another used car dealer. We have since sold over 6000 cars in this fashion. We start our cars at an opening bid of $500 or $1000, accordingly, and sell every car with no reserve and list the cars for 5 days. At the end of the auction, the cars are sold whether they win or lose money but rest assured they are sold. We don’t clean them, we don’t repair them, and try to describe them to the best of our ability. We don’t pull the wheels to check the brakes but drive them to determine what we feel is wrong. If dash lights are on, we tell you and if they are not on and come on for you on your trip home, it is your responsibility as our cars are sold AS-IS. If you should encounter a major problem, we are here to help you and won’t leave you in the lurch but will not be responsible for minor cosmetic or mechanical defects that come with being an as-traded used car. It is the buyer’s responsibility to perform a pre-sale inspection or express any and all concerns prior to placing a bid and prior to winning the final binding auction. If you win an auction and we don’t receive your $500 deposit within 24 hours of auction end, we will relist the car or offer a second chance offer to the next highest bidder. Wholesale & Prior to Re-Conditioning The cars you see on our eBay auctions are what we would call “raw trade-ins” from the new car dealers. These are cars that have not been cleaned, have not been run through shops, and have not been repaired in preparation for a sale. Buying a car in this Wholesale Capacity allows you to buy the car for less money and me to do less work. There will be assumed costs on minor defects and routine-maintenance items that come with being used. If you are receptive to buying a car in this fashion, the savings are yours. Because we sell our cars all over the world and in every state, inspections are not guaranteed in any state as each state differs in their requirements so it is virtually impossible for us to guarantee inspection. Options such as power windows, cruise control, air conditioning etc. are not guaranteed however we will do our best to mention any items that are not working. Administrative Fee We have sold over 5000 cars on eBay in the last six years and have never charged any fees. However, the cost of doing business recently has skyrocketed out of sight and we are forced at this time to ask for a nominal $75 fee on top of the price of the car sold and any motor vehicle fees. I truly apologize for this change in policy however the cost of doing business and the increasing number of no show bidders dictates this moderate administrative fee. Motor Vehicle & Issuing of Plates Within walking distance of our car lot, there is a Pennsylvania-state motor vehicle agent that will issue Pennsylvania license plates and out-of-state temporary 30 day plates. They will accommodate all our customers within their normal business hours which are 9-5PM on weekdays and on Saturdays from 9-12PM, same as our hours. You can of course bring your own license plates / temporary tags if your state allows. It is mandatory that if you need plates you bring with you your drivers license and your insurance card for your present car. Names, addresses and dates must be valid on both items. “0” feedback bidders should call or email prior to placing your bid We do not want to discourage you from bidding, only to verify that you are serious! Without this contact your bid will be cancelled. Payment If you are a winning bidder, kindly contact me via email immediately at the end of the auction for verification. Our requirements are that the high bidder should pay an immediate deposit of $500 via PayPal upon completion of the auction and the car should be paid in full within 7 days via cashiers check, cash if in person or money order. The deposit can also be made over the phone via MasterCard or Visa; however, payment in full cannot be made with a credit card or PayPal. If payment of the car is not fulfilled within the specified time, the car will be offered for re-sale and feedback will be left accordingly. Let’s not waste each other’s time.
