What a find - this bike appears to be all original and it RUNS. Chrome on the bike is very nice, especially for an RE5. Fenders, pipes, spokes show no rust. I see no evidence of this bike ever being crashed. The black paint on the side covers and gas tank shines like new. Bike starts very easily and shifts flawlessly. Brakes work well, gear indicator light appears to be working in all gears selected. I took this on a 20 mile ride today, everything seems to be working properly, temp gauge was right in the middle (it was over 90 degrees today) so no issues with overheating. I did notice a little stumble in acceleration when accelerating hard - I don't know much about these carburetors so I didn't dive into it as the bike starts, idles and drives perfectly fine. This is one of the nicest RE5s I've seen in person, and only one of several I've actually seen running. Open to trades - don't be afraid to make an offer, I'm having a hard time pricing this bike as there doesn't seem to be much out there to match this. NOS parts show normal shelf wear for the age of the parts. When we list the parts for a bike - we list everything we have. If you do not see an item, it was either not usable or has already sold.
