I have decided to sell some of my personal cars. This one in particular I have owned 30+ years. This auction is for a 1960 Chrysler Windsor 4 Door Hardtop. *** UPDATED LISTING *** This is a very nice low mileage vehicle. I bought it from the original owner and it had 28,262 on it, it now has 30,815. I would call it a "survivor" type of car. It was originally a white car, but back in 1986 I painted it black because I like that color. The car did not need any body work. The tires that are on it have 2000 miles on them. Back in 1986 when I bought the tires, they were still available new and not considered reproductions. The car is equipped with Golden Lion raised block RB 383 with 2 barrel carburetor. This engine was only available in 1959 and 1960 making this a very rare option. The motor and transmission work great. Original paint on the engine, never been touched. It starts right up and idles very nicely through the dual exhaust. I have cleaned the engine bay and changed the oil as I have started to drive it to shows. I removed the plastic on the seats and they look excellent, the previous ad showed plastic on the seats. The car is equipped with automatic swivel bucket seats. When you open the front door the two front seats swivel out for easy access. They are a very rare and sought after option, most of the cars had a bench seat. All of the interior and exterior trim is intact. The chrome is in average shape, not super bright like a rechrome, just very average. There is some small body dents in the back of the vehicle on the driver's side. I believe something dropped on the very back of the car years ago, these appeared somewhere in the 1990's when it was in my storage building. See the picture showing the small dents. The trunk lid has some small rust around the trim ring. It does drive around locally fine - I have now started taking it to car shows. Also included in the sale are the original sales brochure and the owners manual - NOT reproductions. Original pieces. Equipment installed: - Front Swivel Bucket Seats - AM radio - window washer pump with plastic bottle - Faux (fake) spare tire dress up option on the decklid - Power steering and power brakes I just recently installed a new battery and it fired right up, I drove it around my driveway and building for about 10 mins.
