Good running daily driver needing nothing to use regularly. This is not a restored vehicle but rather one which has been used lightly for many years. History unknown but inasmuch as red/blue in AMC emblems is still colorful says that this vehicle was probably owned by older people and garaged for much of its life. Lack of noticeable rust also important attribute. Believed to have been inherited by family member after death of original owner/s as I understand and traded in at dealership in Ft. Smith AR. Title showed ownership of people located on OK side of Ft. Smith area. . Silly family members put some cheap tinted plastic over windows and had an after market, noisy what I would call "tuner" muffler installed not too long ago. This seems odd on this 4-door AMC compact but there it is. I've not owned long but I have too many cars to deal with effectively including two Gremlins, a Spirit, s Studebaker and so..... Due to my lack of talent & advanced X age, I've decided it best to not get involved with so many cars and reduce my #'s. This car passed state inspection, has a newly installed battery, alternator, radiator hoses and the radiator has been boiled out, plus new power steering pump & hose and fresh oil change. The gauges work including the gas gauge. The knob for the windshield washer is stripped so I just keep a pair of pliers on package shelf but u can use your fingers to turn; just a little tougher. I believe such items are available but since I've driven it so little and not in moisture, I've ignored that. The cloth interior is really nice as are door panels. No rips and just very well cared for condition. Rust a bit under the vinyl top at bottom of small rear passenger windows. The dash has no cracks which lines up with having been garaged and kept out of direct sun. The tires are decent with original wheel covers. It has cold air but no other special options. It's an original 36 year old car. It could be sold locally. Good luck and please email ?'s. The mileage is probably accurate if you look at interior and carpet condition. This is a very nice car which deserves a good home. It is a little loud due to muffler but this can be changed out. It needs a few hits on accelerator to get started and sometimes it will hesitate for the first few hundred feet and then it's smooth sailing. Shipping is on buyer.
