1979 Chevy Silverado C-10. GM Built it in California in 1979, and stayed there its whole life until 2007-8 when it came to Central IL. Never seen winters with salt; stored during IL winters. Way too much to list here, but here are highlights:Original rustfree cab corners, rockers, all sheetmetal.Complete ground up rebuild with media blasted body,GM Performance Parts crate 350 four bolt main engine, 290HP. (old style SBC)Brad Grimm built heavy duty TH350,2.5 inch drop spindles front, 4 inch drop shackles rear.NEW 15 inch Cragar wheels with BFGs,Color is Chrysler Blaze Red Pearlcoat Metallic and Pewter. (have the codes. Original color was maroon w/ maroon interior)All new trim.Original bench seat completely re-upholstered (original red/maroon color interior retained) New vent windows, dash, interior, engine wiring harness.Factory A/C (not charged yet).Edelbrock performer RPM endurashine intake and 600cfm elec choke carb.All new weatherstripping, Tilt columnNew electronic radio w/ pioneer speakers behind seat and kenwood speaker in dashNOS gm vent windows (one installed, one not). Origs were heavily worn and was able to find these.Brand new bumpers (rear installed, front in box). Factory originals come withMany extra parts incld orig trim, more.Digital build pics will be burned on a DVDSTILL NEEDS door glass installed both sides (have the glass and all parts), charcoal canister installed, door panels installed, front bumper installed, rain gutter trim installed.Driven 2,400 miles since build, majority during this summer 2015 without issue.This is not an unfinished project that I got tired of. This has many hours of work, money invested, but its just time to go after job eliminated during Caterpillar layoff.Was in a full page feature of "under construction" in Popular Hotrodding during build called 'No Rust Warrior'.Over $25k Receipts, all of which go with including factory repair manuals, instructions, and original 1979 Chevy Truck brochure. I know there are few things it needs to make 100% complete, as listed above, but right now we need to recover from a recent permanent layoff. No trades. Cash money preferred, bank transfer, cashiers chk/money order ONLY if my bank approves. I feel it is worth much more in current condition with few items to complete. Reserve price set reasonably low in the 10k range. Since I've owned it Aug 2008, it's been in heated garage. Currently has ethanol free fuel and fuel stable. REMEMBER: This truck is not 100% done...it runs and drives well, as proven by the mileage, but I've never finished installing the side windows. Summer cruising never needed them!
