1951 Buick Super Convertible 51 Series Fifty Model 56C Restored to stock, original condition, body on frame restoration from a low mileage original, owned since 1996, always stored in climate controlled garage, approximately 1000 miles since completed. Many NOS (New Old Stock) parts used, everything else rechromed/rebuilt/redone. New floorboards and rocker panels professionally welded, $10,000 Geneva Green Paint Job with two stage Spies Hecker base coat/clear coat, new leather interior, new Haartz cloth top, rebuilt hydraulic pump, new hydraulic cylinders throughout, with stainless steel lines throughout converted to ATF, Complete new Harnesses Unlimited wiring harness, Original numbers matching straight eight cylinder 320 ci engine professionally rebuilt by Automotive Precision Machine Ltd., (.30 over), Original numbers matching Dynaflow rebuilt, recored radiator, new heater cores (two), all new seals, hoses, rubber, brakes,etc... Original signal scanning AM radio rebuilt/restored/fully functional. Clock keeps time, all electrical items function as they should, lights, fan, heater, gauges, etc... The one exception is the odometer stopped registering miles at 32499 but the speedometer works. Over the years it has a few drips under the engine and transmission, mostly caused by non-use, but I replaced the valve cover gasket over last winter and it is much improved. The torque ball gasket is notorious for leaking on these Dynaflows and mine is going to need replacement eventually. It is a sixty-four year old car so the technology used was not up to today's standards.Cosmetically it appears as good as the pictures show it to be, the paint is gorgeous, and the interior/top well done. On the hood there are a few pin prick bubbles near the hood ornament if you really look for them and a couple along the edge of the hood. Additionally I have touched up a couple knicks and minor scratches over the years. Selling due to the fact that we rarely drive it. Willing to work with your shipping company to load it once transaction completed.
