I am offering my 2000 Mercedes Benz SLK230 with 78,500 miles for sale as a no reserve auction!! I absolutely love this car, but had my first child so need to replace it with a vehicle that is more practical. I have owned the car since 33,000 miles and it has been such a great and fun automobile. I have performed regular maintenance and scheduled oil changes with synthetic oil. This car has always been garaged at my residence, but as I live in Chicago and it has often been parked on city streets, so it has some light scratches. I tried my best to capture these in the pictures. This car is a blast to drive and you will not find a more beautiful car for the money. The hardtop convertible is in perfect condition and the car comes with a cassette player, six-cd changer, and leather seats. The interior of the car is in pretty good condition with some minor seat wear (driver's side) and some discoloration of the center console. Both the front and back bumper have some scratches on it, as well as a scratch on the passenger's driver's door and the back of the driver's side (see in pictures). However, when washed the car looks great. Again, for the money, you're buying a car that looks like it cost five times what you'll pay for it. The vehicle has recently been detailed and it's looks great! There is a small "bubble" (as explained by my mechanic) in the gas tank so it only hold a little over 8 gallons at a time. I have never fixed this because it hasn't been an issue ever, as it does not impact gas mileage, or performance. I average about 24 miles per gallon (mixed city and highway). I have just replaced the spark plugs, driver belt, and had a recent oil change. Car is being sold "as-is" with no warranty. I have the original owner's manual and will be included in the sale of the vehicle. This car is a champ and has many many good years left, as it only has 78,500 miles on it.
