Vehicle Detail

1972 oldsmobile cutlass s very clean 350 rocket engine 350 transmission new dual exhaust, newer shocks, new gas tank , new interior ,except the headliner is split ant the seams, appears to be an easy repiar, still holding in place not falling down. 4 new tires , 124k miles runs and drives great, solid rust free car well taken care of power brakes power steering drives with ease smooth on the highway @ 75mph with no shakes or shimmys. heat works wipers work headlights work eben all 4 when high beam is selected, tail lights backup lights all functional, speedometer, gas gauge , all idiot likes working does not smoke or over heat, very reliable car here very desirable factory viking blue paint on the car. has been repainted, has some bondo as all old cars usually do but not horrible. A whale tail spoiler is always a nice addition to these 70-72 models. They can be purchased in nice reproductions, and look just like the originals for a cost of around $225. it does have an open, clean, and clear title for this sale. I'm a huge 442 fan, so I know all the prices firsthand. I've done a few of these and my friend has done many of these conversions, and know how very satisfying and rewarding the finished product can be. All the money invested along the way of the restoration process will only add to the value of this car. An aftermarket fiberglass ram-air hood can be purchased for around $500, and a cut-out rear bumper for approximately $300. Let's not forget the trumpet exhaust tips for under $100. I believe for a little under $1,000 you can have those nice new parts to install while the transformation is being done. These early 70's muscle cars have incredible investment potential, and have been referred to as rolling bank accounts. Remember, some knowledge of the restoration process. very easy 442 clone . This auction is just in time to buy that muscle car before summer is gone. or if you wanted to have a cool old classic to restore during the end of this summer/fall/ winter . My belief is without hard work it is possible to have a nice summer cruising in a Viking Blue recreated 442 with white W-30 stripes and a white top. When these cars are done properly they still command big dollars if the new owner ever decides to sell. This Oldsmobile would also be great for parts, but I would like to see it brought back to its former glory . I have far too many projects right now and nowhere near the energy I once had, so I'm selling this cool old cruiser can be made into a very very mint car again. The options include power steering, power brakes, and air conditioning , but compressor is not installed , and ac lines are missing, condensor it still there . Basically,e was ordered from the factory with the rare air conditioning option, but some of the components are missing. The majority of people didn't order A/C back in the day, since they could not afford it but at least this car has that option with the basis to hook everything back up someday if the new owner wishes. With some luck at the local swap meets it could potentially all be hooked back up again if the right parts are found. These parts are also available at a wide variety of new aftermarket muscle car parts suppliers of identical replacement parts. The original dash pad is in good shape, and has an original non working radio ,this dash was not all cut up like was typically done to these cars back in the day. the originality of a factory AM/FM it would be able to be mounted perfectly in the proper position in the dash. I saw no signs of this car ever being involved in an 0. I believe the full suspension is in good condition, has newer shocks at some point, . The original trunk floor is solid besides a couple minor pin holes barely visible. , but the trunk does carry a full size Super Stock II spare wheel with a Good tire . In the event of a flat tire on this car there is an original jack, jack stand, and crow bar, that mishap can turn into a complete looking car again in a matter of minutes. There is a full set of four new matching raised white lettered steel belted radial tires 14 inch, mounted on 14 inch Super Stock II wheels painted Code 26 Viking Blue to match the original body color of the car. There are 20 brand new chrome lug nuts on all four wheels with the bolt-on center caps, and all four beauty trim rings. Naturally all of that Cutlass Supreme chrome should be removed to make a proper 442 recreation with some nice white W-30 stripes to make a proper looking 442 W-30 . A lot of the chrome is still very usable on this car, good or in drivers quality condition. In fact there aren't really any hard to find chrome pieces that I can think of that might be missing. The body has no rust on a 42++ year old car, but in my opinion from what I saw the floors and frame all look in decent condition. There is a highly sought after factory 10-bolt non positive traction rear-end, that looks factory original without the rear sway bar. rare parts look like they came factory ordered with this model. They are crucial items to have for making a car as close to a real 442 as possible. What you see is exactly what you get! These mostly complete older classics that have survived for over 40 years are becoming harder and harder to find. Especially in Viking Blue!! The Nada Classic Car Price Guide currently has the 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass S with a Rocket 350, and the air conditioning option listed at $30,360 in high condition, which they consider an excellent overall vehicle that was completely restored, or an original vehicle showing very minimal wear. Note: This value does not represent a 100 point show car or a #1 vehicle. Those vehicles can reach much higher prices. $14,490 in average condition, which they consider in good overall condition that could be an older restoration or a well maintained original vehicle that is completely operable. The exterior paint, trim, and mechanics are presentable and serviceable inside and out. They say an average condition car is considered a 20-Footer! As shown in the pictures I would consider this Olds currently valued in between the average and low condition, and could be rated much higher with some hard work. They have the lowest condition value at $10,465 being considered a deteriorated restoration or a very poor restoration, but mostly usable "As-Is!" The lowest value does not represent a parts car, but would be considered as the price for a car needing a complete restoration. Why not enjoy the same looking car for a fraction of those prices. This Oldsmobile is an investment that I believe will continue to rise as these cars have been consistently proven to escalate in value. These GM A-Body muscle cars are the finest handling cars I have ever driven. This car is for the guy or girl that always wanted one back in high school, or had one and wants to restore one instead of paying the crazy prices to purchase one already finished. This would be a great father and son project or for a high end classic car restoration shop that knows the values of all the parts on these cars. There is no finer muscle car on the planet in my eyes than the 1970-1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme or 442 . Here is a prime opportunity to acquire your dream car at a minimal price, or to have all the parts to finish a restoration of a 70-72 Cutlass Supreme or 442 that you may already have. This car is being stored safely indoors out of the elements. The deposit will need to be paid within 24 hours, and the balance is due within 72 hours prior to the pick-up or transport of this car. The title will be sent out the same day the funds are clear, or be kept in the glove compartment with the owner's manual for transport. Whichever way the winning bidder decides. The funds that are received will be going to finish up another project that I ran out of funds to complete. That is why I am allowing this car to sell for a great bargain!!!. I know my descriptions can be a little long winded, but I try to list and accurately portray everything I can think of when I write a description. This way every potential bidder can make the most informed decision prior to placing their bid. If you feel I may have left anything out please ask as many questions as you like. I pride myself in answering every question in explicit detail with the utmost honesty. Ask questions and you will receive honest accurate answers. I'm a motivated seller, so this hard to find Viking Blue classic muscle car is being offered on a 5 day listing, and will sell to the lucky highest bidder on sunday evening. Thank You for taking the time to read and view my auction!!! Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!! On Aug-12-15 at 00:26:24 PDT, seller added the following information: Paint looks nice and shines pretty well, not a show quality jaw dropper, but a nice daily driver /cruise night type. It has a few flaws like a couple runs and a couple blotchy areas but get thumbs up everywhere I go. There is never a time its driven that somebody does'nt honk or give thumbs up or stop me to ask about the car! Can be enjoyed as is or with a top notch paint job can win many trophy's!! definiteley an attention getter with the striking blue/white combo!!!
