This listing is for the purchase of a 1989 CR250R that looks to be 100 % original . Tires , chain sprockets , grips , levers , bars , plastics , and seat all appear to be original oem Honda . I can email or text any areas or parts you wish to see detailed pics of . I am the third owner of the bike , 2nd owner only owned it a year and rarely rode it due to it being all original and so nice . I have owned it for 5 years and have only ridden it down my road a few times to run some fresh fuel through it . I do not have a title , mso or certificate of origin , bike will only come with a bill of sale . Being a lower hours bike it is very tight and will not need much to race vintage mx with . CR has great compression , pulls hard , shifts as it should , suspension has no leaks but shock bottoming cone is dry rotted and missing . Shock rebounds and dampens as it should . I just spent a couple hours going over the bike and heres what I found : THE BAD : at least in my opinionprevious owner used silicone on the water pump cover . the tank has a rub mark on the right side the front rim has a small flat spot ( have a pic on phone )the shock bottoming cone is dry rotted and gone the front # plate has black rub marks from brake hose ( still avail from Honda )upper fork area has a wear spot from brake hose (I have pics on phone )the fork guards have some small gouges in them , I need to get pics of that area the head pipe has scratches misc dings and lower area ( front ...behind wheel ) some smaller dents , I have pics on phone outer case of chain guide has rock damage / nics in it ( phone pics again )missing one rubber fork cap for bottom of fork leg , the cover for rebound adjuster oem org handlebar has some misc surface rust / wear oem black levers have ball end wear and black finish wear from fingers that's about it , fenders have some misc scratches , they don't come out in pics , rear fender is pretty good , front is worse . Side panels have the white background wear, shrouds have very little wear . Carb will need a cleaning, new fluids , and obviously new tires / tubes ( they are org ) and a good going over ( grease , check bolts etc ) to hit the track. I didn't encounter any stripped bolts , no jb weld , no 8.8 style hardware , all oem bolts . Rims are in good shape , with the one small flat spot on front ....no missing spokes , no seized spokes , Seat is soft , no weathering in foam , no tears , no holes in cover No cracks in plastic , couple mount holes have light wear but only two and it was minor radiators are both very nice , right radiator lower tab in bent in some but only the tab , easy to straightenIt's a clean solid bike I didn't scrub the gunk of rear sprocket and didn't clean the spokes lower frame tubes are nice , only a couple small dings ( have a pic on phone )Hard to find these untouched If you've been looking for an 89' CR250 or late 80's Ahrma race bike this is a nice one .I have used Uship for bikes in the past , easy bike to ship . any questions call or text me 239-246-3711thank you Jason
