With a heavy heart, I am selling a prized possession; this is a 1980 Ford Courier pickup truck with 19,747 original miles. The exterior, interior, engine etc is all ORIGINAL and in near-new shape. I purchased this from the original owner, an elderly gentleman in Southern California. The vehicle was meticulously maintained, garage-kept (entire life) and according to the previous owner, he never drove it in the rain. This truck has absolutely NO rust, repaired damage, etc. It has never left California and never been in snow or driven off pavement. Every mechanical item works as it should. When I first saw the truck, I could have sworn it was restored, but an inspection by myself and an auto appraiser determined it is all original. The truck looks and drives like it is new. THERE ARE ABSOLUTELY NO ISSUES WITH THIS VEHICLE. THIS VEHICLE IS 100% ORIGINAL-IT HAS NEVER BEEN 'MESSED" WITH OR ALTERED. THE ONLY NON-STANDARD ITEM IS THE CAMPER SHELL. THE CAMPER SHELL IS NOT PART OF THIS AUCTION. The original spare is still place and the "UNLEADED FUEL ONLY" decal on the gas filler door is original! I would encourage any potential bidders to come see it in person if possible, or have a trusted, local friend look at it. Our family had one of these back in the early 1980s and sadly we sold it. I'd been looking for another one since, and found this one last Summer. I do not wish to sell it, but I just retired from my job and will not be able to take this with me where I am moving. Please, please ask as many questions as you like, I will try to respond within a day or two, but I'm arranging my retirement and move, so my computer access will be spotty. I will gladly make the Courier available for inspection. The best times will be after six during this week, and mornings next weekend. I will gladly allow you to have it inspected by a reputable mechanic, as long as it's local to me and you pay for the inspection. I am located in Orange County, about twenty miles due south of Disneyland. THE TRUCK GETS ALMOST 40 MPG!On Feb-18-15 at 14:42:04 PST, seller added the following information: THE TRANSMISSION IS A FIVE SPEED. I HAVE A STANDING OFFER FROM ANOTHER PARTY FOR THE CAMPER SHELL. I'LL CONSIDER SELLING THE SHELL TO THE WINNING BIDDER IF A SIMILAR OFFER IS MADE. THE SHELL HAS NEVER BEEN OFF THE TRUCK SINCE IT WAS INSTALLED.
