Offered is a 1997 Ford Mustang Cobra convertible in running condition. The engine and power train are good and everything works on the car with the exception of the odometer, cassette deck, and lighter. The odometer stopped working a couple years ago at 149578. The car for the past several years has been driven about 2500 miles per year so the actual mileage is approximately 155000. A new clutch and partially rebuilt transmission 3 years ago as well as new tires and rims about the same time. I purchased the car in May, 1998 with 12000 miles and the build date was April, 1997. As can be seen in the pics, the body has some dents, dings, and scratches and the driver door sheet metal needs a couple spot welds. These issues are cosmetic and no significant surface rust. Also, the canvas is pulled away from the back glass in places on the bottom edge and the reason for the tape and the top was new in 2004. The interior leather is worn and most of the trim is fairly good. For the 1997 model year, there were 3088 convertibles produced. This car has the advantage of being a good daily driver and one that can also be worked on and restored as time and money permit. I've enjoyed it for many years and time for someone else to do the same. The car is located in Fort Wayne Indiana and I welcome any visits to see it and a test drive would be fine as well.
