Vehicle Detail
BASED on the numerous questions that I can't answer, the owner has agreed to let me post his cell number. Call or text the owner; Jameson, at 703-371-2426. Being young he prefers texting. He will answer all your questions. Some info from a Pontiac Expert: "I noticed it has #48 Cylinder heads, to those who know their Pontiacs, these are performance Heads used on Ram Air III GTO's, and 350 High Output cars, AKA 350HO cars.... Factory rating was around 325 HP. This is a Diamond in the rough... Highly Collectible." He will consider all REASONABLE offers! I'm selling this for a friend of mine. He bought this from the ORIGINAL owner of the car. He bought the car after returning home from Viet Nam. As far as we know, the car has never left Virginia. Now here's the good part. He has a complete, (Less hood) rust-free front clip for the car including the bumper/grille/lights. Also has a spare rear window, rear bumper and some other odds and ends.CAVEAT: One of the bidders last time bought the spare hood after intimating he wanted to buy the car! ALL the spares ARE included! The engine is a 350 with Quadrajet four barrel carb. It has headers on it, and no other exhaust. Looks like there might have been pipes coming out in front of the rear tires. The engine had not been run for at least three years before he bought it. As you can see, it is clean inside the engine. It turns easily (but not too easily!) by turning the fan. Also, to get to the engine's number, he pulled the lower radiator hose and the antifreeze inside it looks brand new. So no worries about anything having frozen and cracked. It has a Hurst shifter. It has a 160 mph speedometer and firebirds etched(?) on the door glass by the mirrors. All are or were options, he thinks. Frankly, if I had the money, and space to do it, I'd buy the car! So please, help my friend out by buying his baby. It needs to be bought back to life and enjoyed as the General intended in 1968. I added more pictures that show some of the rust in the floors as well as the back seat and looking into the trunk. He has the original title in a frame, the original owner's manual and other papers. He's never been able to find the build sheet. SO, since he really hasn't done much to the car, and certainly hasn't driven it, it's almost like a one-owner.
