Vehicle Detail

This 1967 Porsche 911 Sunroof Coupe is the perfect candidate for those looking to do a complete restoration. It has been stored in a garage since 1997. The engine does turn over, however I have not installed a battery or attempted to start it. The engine (#911-584) appears to be the original and has weber carburaters. The odomoter shows 53,819 miles. The vehicle appears to be complete, with the exception of a missing radio, and an aftermarket steering wheel that has been installed. The vehicle has dents on the front left fender, the right door, and on the rear bonnet. It also has a small crease on the front bumper. There is some small rust blistering on both sides below the rear windows (see pictures), but overall the vehicle is solid with no serious issues. The color code on the door reads: 68-6604 G. My research shows that this is the color code for Light Ivory. It has been re-painted at some point, however the color does not appear to have been changed. Please email me with any further questions, or for more details. On Jul-16-14 at 08:17:54 PDT, seller added the following information: I apologize for the poor picture quality on the vin plates. I have taken better pics of them, and would be more that happy to send them to anyone, interested. On Jul-16-14 at 17:25:48 PDT, seller added the following information: I just added the following link with more pics of vin tags and engine numbers http://s1270.photobucket.com/user/lymanwalker/library/Porsche%20911?sort=3&page=1On Jul-19-14 at 19:11:32 PDT, seller added the following information: Additional Information First I would like to thank everyone for their interest in my car. I would also like to answer some of the questions I have received. Starting with the blurry picture of the numbers located on the right side of the engine just below the fan housing. I inadvertently put a space between the Engine numbers that run vertically on the block. it is 911584 as seen in the additional pictures in the link above. I can't seem to get a good pick of the numbers that are on the horizontal surface numbers, they are 901/06 and just below that 8164. A another question asked, was the sunroof factory, and the answer to that is YES. The transmission is a 4spd. It also appears that the vehicle had a headrest only on the passenger seat. this seemed peculiar to me but while doing some research on the car, I noticed this option in some other pictures of different cars, in the book The 911 & 912 Porsche: A Restorer's Guide to Authenticity written by Dr. B. Johnson. After reading this book and others reference material,. I am convinced that this is a numbers matching car. People have asked why I don't have COA on the car. the answer is simply I did not have the time. PCA said it will take 6 to 8 weeks, and I had already listed the car on ebay. If any one has any questions or concerns, please contact me. I will get back to you ASAP.
